Looking for a cast and director for my upcoming family/fantasy film, "Brain Wars" opening on November 18th with UFI. Looking for a director and cast for the film.

The film will have a PG rating, so I want all the people pitched to at least have done one family film in their career. Now on with the characters....

DR. RICHARD FLINKMAN: A grade school science teacher. He's kind of got the crazy science guy down with crazy hair and a big sense of humor. Above all he loves students with a huge imagination and becomes a father figure to John Anderson. He is in his forties - fifties. I'd like a big name comedian for this role. (Top 4)

JOHN ANDERSON: John is a ten year old boy who loves to daydream. He's got a great imagination and loves to go on adventures. Above all though he cares for his family most of all. He sets off on an adventure to save his mother when she is in need. He has a big heart but he overlooks it himself sometimes. (Top 4)

ABBY ANDERSON: Abby is John's mom and is in her early thirtees. She has beautiful, short brown hair. She isn't the type of good looking of Angelina Jolie, who is slutty good looking. She is the type of good looking that is cute and beautiful. She is a very caring mother but is up to her wits end with her son. (Top 4)

MARY ANDERSON: Mary is John's six year old sister. She has short blonde hair that she uses to put into two ponytails on her head. She is the typical six year old girl. She gets her feelings hurt easily. She must win at every game she plays or she cries. She though has a big heart and is very giddy usually. She looks up to her big brother John but also likes to keep peace in the family. (Top 4)

KURT FRY: Kurt is Abby's jerk boyfriend. He is very decieving. He tries to get Abby to fall in love with him and to send her kids away so that they can be together. He often fights with John and just overall is an asshole. He's in his late twenties and he is the pretty boy type. (Supporting)

SARAH STEELE: Sarah is John and Mary's babysitter. She is in her mid-twenties and John and Mary both adore her. She is the perky type of person and she has a big heart and she tries to protect John and Mary like they are her own kids. (Supporting)

THE TUMOR: The tumor is living inside of Abby's head. John goes on an adventure to save his mom from the tumor. The tumor is the big vilain of this film, besides Kurt. This is a voice part only. I want someone with a deep voice for this role that is not James Earl Jones. (Supporting)

I also need a director who is good at directing family/fantasy films.

Pitch away!

I'd like to recommend Jon Favreau as a director for this film. He displayed a talent in directing Elf that showed he could make a family film that was genuinely sweet and funny.

THE TUMOR - I have to admit that I don't know if Mickey Rourke has ever done a family film before...but he might be perfect for this role.

While he's not a big name comedian, I'd have pitch B-Movie star Jeffrey Combs in the role. He's got the crazy scientist bit down, with his portrayal of the crazy scientist, Herbert West, in The Re-Animator series. He's a low-key casting choice, with great potential!

Dr. Richard Flinkman - Jim Carrey
Abby Anderson - Denise Richards
Sarah Steele - Shannon Elizabeth

I'd also like to second Mbrod's Jon Favreau suggestion, not only did he do Elf but he is also doing the family film Zathura, set to release later this year.

Mike Myers
Rowan Atkinson
For a totally out leftfield selection, Gary Busey. Not a traditional comedian but I find him hilarious.

I like Judd, you like Judd. Why not go with Ashley Judd?

Michael Clarke Duncan has the deep voice you're looking for.

If you wanna make the Tumor more sinister and evil sounding then Lance Henriksen is perfect for the part.
