EXT. METROPOLIS - DAY
JIMMY OLSEN (Shawn Ashmore) is running down the street in Metropolis. He knocks a few people down on his way.
JIMMY (V.O.)
My name is Jimmy Olsen. I’m a photographer. Well I haven’t had a picture published in almost a year but I’m hoping to change all that.
Jimmy comes upon the street where everybody is stood very still and applauding. Suddenly Superman rises above their heads. Jimmy fumbles with his camera but by the time he gets his camera focused. Superman has disappeared.
JUMP CUT TO:
EXT. AIRPORT
Jimmy is pushing his way through a crowd. This time at the airport. Superman is stood beneath a giant helicopter. Gently lowering it to the ground. Jimmy grabs his camera but the battery has run out.
JIMMY (V.O.)
I just have the worst luck. No matter how hard I try something will always get in the way.
JUMP CUT TO:
INT. BALLROOM
Thousands of people are dressed up to the nines. Jimmy is dressed in a tux with black bow tie. LEX LUTHOR (Kevin Spacey) steps out onto the stage to a thunderous applause. Jimmy pulls his camera out but some drunk man knocks him into him knocking the camera out of his hands.
JIMMY (V.O.)
All I want is that one shot. That one shot that will be on the front page. Will I ever be lucky enough to get that one shot?
BEGIN MONTAGE
- Superman stops a car with one hand. The bank robbers get out and fire their guns at him but the bullets just bounce off him.
- Superman and Metallo fighting on the streets of Metropolis. Metallo knocks Superman right through a building
- Superman and Lois cradling Bizarro’s weak body.
- Superman flies through the beautiful sky.
END MONTAGE
The Superman Symbol flies onto the screen followed by the number 2.
JIMMY (V.O.)
All I want is that one shot.
