Okay, for the longest time there have been minimal releases. Maybe one or two, sometimes even zero each week. Come on now, we can do better than this!
I'm throwing down the 30 PAGE CHALLENGE for February and March. Write and release a film less than 30 pages (hey, it'll be quicker to write and read!) in these two months and I'll pay for your production costs.
Everyone should do this, not just the two or three players who are keeping the theaters filled now. Even if you've never written a film before, now's your chance!
Producers, if you can't get a studio to release your film, email or PM me and I'll try to work something out with one of the studios for you.
This is just kind of a rough idea, if you guys have any suggestions or comments, please feel free to post below.
Let's get those theaters filled!

Thanks MC, you're totally welcome!
For inspiration, here are some ideas:
- Adapt a short story, flesh it out, make it your own. Try Ernest Hemingway, Stephen King, Ray Bradbury, Philip K. Dick, etc. If you go for an older story, you can save money by going public domain.
- Pick a random city, somewhere you've never been, and write a story that takes place there. Do a little research on Wikipedia to get the setting right and just go from there. (I did this for "Roman Holiday Weekend" and it was superfun!)
I'll try to come up with some other stuff, hopefully this can help.

You can find a ton of stories and books online that have entered public domain by doing a simple google search, right off the bat I found this list (which includes the full texts). And don't forget Urban Legends!
