Although you can still declare your candidate through today, voting has begun. So far we have the following people for candidates:

Michael Madsen (Purple)

Chris Harmer (Inc.) (Orange)

Mac the Movieguy (Green)

Suicidejocky (Purple)

Morgan Freeman (Orange)

Gordon Ramsay (Purple)

Megan Fox (Green)

After some discussion, here's how the voting will take place. Email votes will be given to two non-participants, RS and myself. The easiest way to vote is to go to Ritchie's profile and to my profile. Hit the Email link to the upper right where it says Click Here. In the subject, put the word VOTE. In the message text, put the name of the one candidate that you're voting for out of all of the ones running. Do that for both RS and myself. (You don't have to put the party name. In fact, it's a waste of time if you do.)

That's it. Vote only once. Only your first vote will be taken. Please note that votes given in any other way will not be counted. Do not pm me. Email email email. smile.gif

If other candidates toss their hats into the contest today, their names will be added above. Voting will continue for 1 week, through the end of Sunday, October 19. Once the clock hits midnight Hollywood/California/Pacific time, we're done.

I will count the votes and determine the top candidate from each party. We'll have a general election after that. More details on that to come.

Really, only vote once. wink.gif

Here's an incentive for everyone to vote... Each voter gets a random DVD for his/her HTG home's film library. (That's on top of the one for each campaign manager for entering the event.) Naturally, you can't be in the slums to get this. If you're in the slums (don't have a home on the HTG map) and would like to get this DVD, contact me.

As usual, this is a rules and questions thread. No campaigning here, please.

Good luck to all candidates. spongebob.gif

Deep into the second day and 11 votes have been cast. Don't forget that everyone who votes gets a DVD for his/her HTG home's film library. Polls will be open through Sunday.

Remember to follow the rules above if you want your vote to be counted. smile.gif

A total of 16 votes now. I know there's more people than that keeping an eye on the campaigning... Get those votes in! biggrin.gif

Here's our daily vote count bump. smile.gif

No one has voted since the last update. Are they waiting for more convincing by the campaign managers? Maybe. To be honest, I haven't voted yet. I'm waiting until the last day most likely, so that I can be fully informed. Or so my excuse is.

However, 18 votes is nothing compared to the number of people who venture to this message board. They can't vote? You get a free DVD for your HTG home if you do. So who knows why they haven't cast one yet. Must be the flu. I hear that's going around.

Vote! biggrin.gif

Here's my last "Hey, you still have time to vote" post. You have until the end of today (Sunday), when midnight strikes Hollywood/California/Pacific time.

Just 20 votes (counting mine, yet to be cast), but a good race. Stay tuned for what's next. cool.gif
