Good thing I'm playing through ALttP for my first time now, I'll know the layout of the place.

AlttP is a huge map with or without the double size with the darkworld. We might have to take a few liberties with this and that.

I don't rember much of the game but...DIBS ON HYRULE CASTLE AS LIGHT BASE!!!!!!

Hyrule castle has so many openings, it would be tough.

The only problem I have with LttP is the wizard guy(forget his name) you fight him twice(if I'm in my right mind) so would he be in GT or HC?

I've been thinking about this, and have come up with a good reason to do ALTTP the next time around:

We could easily have two different landwars going independentaly or that inter-lock because of the dark world, or we could have one massive landwars with attacks from the DARK WORLD.

Think about it, you're preparing your troops for a war, arming them and shizz, and then out of nowhere A HOLE POPS UP IN THE GROUND AND A MASSIVE ARMY JUMPS OUT OF IT AND STARTS KILLING YOU!

Also, the dark world could be a good method of transportation and would easily open up a new element for strategy.
