Strategy:
For the last time the southern sharks have impeded my progress. For the last time I have let them live. Today, they die!
The day shall start off with all of Vaati's troops minus the two hero units and 1500 stalfos arbelests, 2000 stalfos, 1000 deahand swordsmen, 1000 Cavalry and 1000 stalchild sappers from Talhoffer's army, marching on the domain, currently held by lysis. The sappers will be invisible even to the lens of truth.
We will make no secrets about our coming, so lysis will have plenty of time to call reinforcements. Matt will send his men from this roster -which will betray him later in the battle, more on that later-, and sailboat will be being attacked at the same time -more on that later- When they have been seen, they will give the order via our gossip necklaces to our troops in goron city.
The stalchild sappers, being invisible and all start to run various forms of sabatoge along Sailboat's wall that spans infront of the domain. Also, our men armed with siege towers -armored ladders on wheels with a platform at the top that lowers to allow us to get onto a wall- catapults, trebuchets, bomb hwachas and the occasional battering ram, aswell as hover boots and arbelests that load every type of arrow we have, will storm the wall.
As they approach the wall, the song of blizzards will be played -which should really harm pretty much all of Lysis' troops other than white wolfos-, but we will pay it no mind, as we have insulated zora/goron tunics under our armor. While the enemies on the wall swarm to try and destroy us, we will bomb them. If they start firing hwachas at us, the invisible unarmed stalchildren sappers will sneak up from behind and snap their necks, and then turn the hwacha at the enemies, then open fire. The deadhands will have their body stay submerged underground whilst their arms swing their swords. If their hands are harmed, they will just appear behind our lines, and submerge again which will refresh their hands.
Infront of our men will be "harvesters" which basically disable all traps, by setting them off. If any traps remain, all my men have hoverboots and some form of armor. If the trap is spotted -which they should be since the lenses of truth search for them- they will fly over. Otherwise the oughta just survive.
Once we break through the wall, our men will flood into the actual domain. Harvesters will go first, taking out any traps, and troops will be flying over them anyways. If any enemies come to meet us as we march up the domain, we will blast them with our bomb hwachas, hwachas aquired at the wall, bombs, volleys of anti magic arrows -which once a unit is hit with renders them unable to use their magic, unless they have a double magic meter or potion to restore magic but yet cause no physical damage, and then volleys other arrows.
Once we reach the front of the domain, the siege weapons will open fire. Every type of blue fire weapon we have -bomb, arrows, bottles, more bombs- will be shot at the entrance to get rid of red ice. If he has put wood over it, we will burn it. If he has put steel over it, we will freeze it with ice arrows and bomb it. -cold makes stuff brittle-. If he has any electric fenses, arbalests will fly around and kill off any bari powering it, and the harvesters will be used as a ground to break the current.
As lysis gets ready to defend his front, Matt's men will seize the hwachas, and fire at lysis. They will kill any former ally standing next to them, and use combinations of dins fire and ice. They will then head to the back of the domain and take formation. Once we have scissored any troops in the actual domain, we will proceed to the fountain, which by now ought to be completely frozen over thanks to the song of blizzards which will have had a constant status effect on Lysis this entire time. Matt's scare crows will be transported to the middle of Lysis' men, and blow up sending a spray of poison needles all over. The shell blades will dash between armies, taking out whomever they can on the way. The Bari will counter other bari by absorbing their electricity and discharging it back at the enemy army, The boomerangers will stay behind, throwing their boomerangs and being defended by the zoras.
Here, the cavalry will charge, the deadhand swordsmen will use the same strategy of burrying themselves, the stalfos will defend the arbalests, and the arbalests will fire whatever arrows are necessary. Poison and magic drain will both be very favorited, along with our normal blue fire. Matt's men will use the same strat as above. The gorons will advance with the cavalry and in this way we should attain victory.
If any enemies hole up inside the fairy fountain, we will just blow up the tunnel and let them rot. If any stay in the ice cavern, we will do the same there.
Notes: -All supplies mentioned aswell as a set of armor are equipped to all troops -All weapons are coated in red ice so they are just as strong as any red ice armor and can break through it -Lysis has no way of knowing that Matt will betray him -Sailboat will be attacked with a force of about the same size, so he'd have to be crazy to send reinforcements. -Retreat never, I figure with a total of 13000 some we oughta do a lotta damage anyways. -All units have Nayru's love and can use it if necessary -All units have farores wind which they will use only after Matt betrays lysis -All units have blue potions to use -All units are using poisoned weapons -All units do have fairies courtosey of Matt, but I am unsure of how effective they will be -All stalfos fight in pairs. If one dies the other must die within minutes or else they will both continue to live. -If any enemies are wearing some ridiculous capes, our troops will grab said capes, give em a yank and stab the enemy in the face. -All stalfos from vaati have 4 arms rather than 2 -All units have double defense from Ganon's Castle Great Fairy
Part 2:
The following troops will amass in goron city:
Kira Troops: 500: Goron 500: Goron Elites 500: Poe 500: Goron Archers 500: Goron Hammer 500: Iron Knuckles 400: Blue Fire Keese 300: Stalfos 100: Like Like 100: Dead Hands 100: Beamos Daruina
Vaati Kotake Biggoron
Des Desquode 500 Cavalry Archers 200 Crossbow Rangers 500 Dinolfos 100 gerudo swordswomen
Talhoffer 300 Stalfos Arbalests 800 Stalfos 1000 Deadhand Swordsmen 800 Stalfos Cavalry 2000 Gorons 800 Stalchild Sappers Ganondorf Great Fairy
When we are ready, and have recieved the order, we will send a harvester followed by loads upon loads of every type of bomb/bombchu and seige weapon through the portal, in hopes of destroying Sailboats wall, which I'm not sure if he repaired from the last time I attacked. I didn't see a project for that and I did blast a hole in it.
Anyways, all gorons will load up in monocycles and tanks, and roll out first. Following them will be the stalfos cavalry, Darunia, Ganondorf, Great Fairy, Kotake, and Big goron, the dead hand swordsmen, the goron elites, Stalfos, and Sappers. The next set will be all the archers and cavalry archers, and then everything else.
-An important note: Kira's Poes, hammer gorons, iron knuckles, blue fire keese, and stalfos will be taking the front lines after we have broken into the forest. The blue fire keese will be used to dive bomb any unit with red ice armor. The poes will be loaded with blue fire and normal bombs aswell as a kamikazee lantern so they can charge enemy units. The iron knuckles only make sense to hold the front lines, being as big as they are, and the hammer gorons same reason. I refer to them later as the original front liners
Ganondorf will use his power to make the huge magic ball as a volley attack, while the goron elites defend him. He will also use his ground pound technique to help destroy enemy structures. Next up is the great fairy, who will be constantly healing the hero units and if she has time the rest of the army. Note that hero units include herself. Kotake will fly forward and proceed to burn down the lost woods, and then fall back for protection until her burning abilities are needed to burn down more stuffs. Biggoron will just start rolling all over the lost woods. With his tremendous size, he ought to crush everything in sight by rolling around. If ganondorf is struck down -which wouldn't make sense since our enemy has no light arrows- he will simply turn into ganon and run amuck while also causing great enviornmental damage. Kotake, will flee at the first sign of injury.
Using the harvesters to take out traps, our troops should be able to proceed safely. Even so though, they will be flying just above the ground. If we come across any patrols, the heroes will use their attacks, the archers will send off volleys of blue fire anti magic poison and other sorts of arrows to mercelessly deal with opposition. The tanks will use their din's fire throwers, the front liners will do their thing.
Now traversing through a buring forest, even with the goron tunics equipped is never a good idea. As such, once the paths are clear enough, the song of storms will be played. Following this will be the song of blizzards. The ground should feeze over making for a losse of traction, which we don't even need to worry about because we can all fly or are in monocycles/tanks. Also, just as in the first attack we have insulated tunics so the cold won't effect us.
At this point, the 800 stalchild sappers and 500 dinolfos will use flying carpets to carry hundreds of blue fire, cluster, incindiary, and armobombo bombs over the sacred forest meadow. They will drop the blue fire bombs on red ice, incindiary on wood, and cluster on everything. With their fortress melting beneath their feet, I doubt that the opposition will be able to get many straight shots off.
At this point, the rest of our army ought to be arriving. They will sweep over the meadow, this time stalfos cavalry and tanks first, then the original frontliners, followed by the heroes, then the archers, and then the rest. The archers will be firing volley upon volley out infront. The original front liners will have siege weapons which they will fire off a lot. The tanks will use their flame throwers and ballistae to clear a path, and the monocycles will tear crap up.
Now, we have fought here before and know how much our enemy loves his flying beans. At these we will fire plenty of incindiaries and fire arrows. Even if they have some sort of fire proof cover, the troops on them will burn. Also, a hundred or so carpets will be loaded with 2 archers each. They will pretty much dogfight with the beans. All the archers also have hover iron boots, so they can choose to fly off at any time and they can also drop down faster using the iron. With this high maneuverability aswell as decent fire power, our archers ought to make quick work of the sky.
If we face ground opposition, we have cavlary, who can charge through enemy lines, tanks to decimate them, ground archers to send volleys onto them, and various melee units to engage them. Deadhands will be using the same strategy as in part 1. Beamos will be on their own flying carpets, zapping everything they can, and the rest of the units just fight.
At this point we ought to make it to the end of the sacred forest meadow. Using a couple siege towers, we will be able to easily get into the forest temple. If enemies come out from here, we will jump off the ledge and they will be fired upon. If not, we will send a few thousand men in and see if anyone is there.
Now, using the gossip necklace, we will contact the other army and see how they are doing.
Notes:
-All supplies mentioned aswell as a set of armor are equipped to all troops -All weapons are coated in red ice so they are just as strong as any red ice armor and can break through it -Retreat never, I figure with a total of 12000 some we oughta do a lotta damage anyways. -All units have Nayru's love and can use it if necessary -All units have blue potions to use -All units are using poisoned weapons -All units do have fairies courtosey of Matt, but I am unsure of how effective they will be -All stalfos fight in pairs. If one dies the other must die within minutes or else they will both continue to live. -If any enemies are wearing some ridiculous capes, our troops will grab said capes, give em a yank and stab the enemy in the face. -The great fairy's main focus will be keeping the hero units alive, especially ganondorf and kotake. -All units have double defense from Ganon's Castle Great Fairy
This strat still isn't done.

| QUOTE (Taj Mahoffer @ Jan 16 2009, 04:16 PM) | Oh and by the way, I won't be able to write part 3 well at all until I get the results of 1 and 2
So start defending |
I actually won't be here this weekend. I'm getting home late on Monday, and I'll have just enough time to do my homework, so I probably won't be able to come up with a decent strat.
Defense will be up sometime next week.
I'm sure you can still do part 1 with lysis this weekend.
| QUOTE (Tally) | | Stalfos actually have the ability to pair like that normally, I just felt it should be a project because of the fact that it is such a powerful technique. |
They do? I don't remember that in OoT. Was that perhaps only in Master Quest? I haven't yet played that.
By the way Lysis thanks a lot for telling me that I got raped while I was away.

Poseidon's Trident raises the White Flag of surrender
It has been great fun participating in Hyrule Land Wars 4, but it seems my time has come at last. I will be saving you all the trouble of modding the attack on the Great Empire of the Zora's Domain by rendering it moot, and simply surrendering to you now. I hope you all enjoyed my participation as much as I did, I know I enjoyed yours.
Talhoffer, throughout this game we were always at odds. Many times you got on my nerves, and I on yours. We never could agree on anything, and even though I never made a single hostile attempt against you, I somehow managed to bother you enough for you to consider me a "thorn in your side" that needed removing. I hope we can put our differences behind us, shake hands, and start anew next time. This time, you have bested me, and I surrender. Next time. . .we'll see.
Matt, in you I am greatly disappointed. When we both joined this game around the same time, about ten days behind everyone else, I was quick to offer a hand in alliance to you. You gave me and our alliance many great technologies, such as the Red Ice Armor and tripwire mines. Yet, here I stand, betrayed. I cannot stand betrayal. You disappoint me. I rescind our mutual trade treaty; my supplies, equipment, and technology are no longer available to you.
Sailboat, you are my only loyal friend. You have stayed my ally to the end, and for that I will reward you. As I disband my army, I will send all six thousand seven hundred sixty of my decommissioned units to be recommissioned into your army, just in time for the attack on your forest. They will fight their hardest and their bravest and do their best to protect what is left of the Southern Shark Empire. You are all that is left, Sailboat. Do your worst to the enemy, maybe with my boost, however small it is in comparison, you can survive. It is all I can hope for.
The originals to all of my supplies, equipment, and technology will be sent to Sailboat to prevent anyone else from having them. This includes Farore's Wind; Talhoffer, I'm not sure what Matt told you, but since he doesn't have the original or the schematics (it's my technology, so only I do) he can't give you Farore's Wind. We've been over this already, seriously.
The leaders of the Great Poseidon's Trident will fade into the night, gather together in secret, and compare notes. This is not the last time you will see us.
With these final words, I take my leave. We will meet again.
~Great Emperor Lysis, et cetera.

I was never looking to trade Farore's wind to him, he was looking to get it in the battle.

Nah, a Dome in general has a major weakness, that I don't feel like dealing with. Of course I'll be using the lens for other things.
