Well Blizzaga, you can make anyone your general, but generals have become figureheads rather than actual fighters.

Also, there's a thread in the Current Game section for questions and arguments. So, you can post questions here, but it's doubtful we will see them as quickly. I could move the thread for you though.

What exactly is an assault carrier? What do you plan to make it do? What will it carry? How many people/weapons will it carry?

If it's completely unique, we'll see about it. But if it's just used differently, we can always just call it a Caravel or a Frigate or whatever and just say that it's carrying something different.

You also may... may have to create a project beforehand to develop your assault carrier since it's not standard- but, again, that'll depend on how different it is. smile.gif

...SINCE this is the new general discussion thread, I suppose, I'll bring up my issue here.

Super troops?

I think a while back we had decided about super troops- super-powerful troops like Darknuts, Wizrobes, and Stalfos. We said we'd consider them to take up as much space as two normal troops since they were so poweful. I think we also decided Miniblins would take up half as much space.

So, like, with the 100 per day recruitment limit, you could recruit 100 normal troops, or 50 Darknuts, or 200 Miniblins.

I beleive we decided this to make it so that territories with not that many super troops would not be disadvantaged so much.

After all, 1000 Darknuts vs. 1000 Minblins- totally unfair. 500 Darknuts vs. 2000 Minblins would be more of a fair fight. (Still kinda funny, though, but you get my point)

So, should we put this into effect? I think it's fair enough, but it also might complicate things a little bit. What do you think?

An assault carrier is like my main ship, My ritos would be abel to pick up bombs from it and fly off to bomb enemy ships, or deploy ground troops. It wold have multi-purpose canons mounted on it. It's sort of like a modern aircraft carrier.

KD, I'm gonna stop you right here and now. You can give your ships new names, but they have to fall within the boundaries of the given ships.

You can do things like add metal prows to barge through other ships, or increase deck size to hold more supplies, but this assault carrier of yours is going to far. It's stronger than any galleon easily. No way you can start with it much less would I allow a projcet to make it.

what? it's not like it's going to be made of metal like the one in the picture just a little similar in purpose. It's pretty much just a ship for my troops. The canons wouldn't even be for bombs, if you can guess what I'd be firing I'd be surprised.

Edit: Also, cut the size in half a few times and imagine it made of wood.

KD, the reason I'm not letting you do this is because it would lead to other people doing big things like this.

Just imagine being the war mod where every ship has a different special ability, and goes by a different name.

You can make it a frigate and extend the deck, that's fine aswell, but you are not starting with a super ship.

Oh, can I recruit red Wizzrobes, the summoning kind? I know there's at least one of those in the Wind Temple. And if so, what kind of units are they allowed to summon?

Hm, I'd say no. Its sole method of attacking is summoning Wizrobes, and since it'd be illegal to just create troops, and it'd be pointless to summon Wizrobes from other areas, it wouldn't be a good idea.

I suppose, if you wanted, you could use it to easily transport Wizrobes... dunno. I'd say, forget about it. ;P

I have a question about Windfall Island. In the game, Windfall has a Potion Shop and a Bomb Shop, among other resources. Can I use these resources for myself? (In other words, can I use the bombs and potions from Windfall?) Also, what about the Hookshot from the Wind Temple? Can I use that as well, or perhaps duplicate it for all my units? Just wondering, since I'm new to this.

Ya though I would say you need to search around in the temple Lysis. That's how I'm going to find the mirror shield. Then you can duplicate it.

As for windfall. I say so. It's your territory. So use it.

The Wind Waker
The King of Red Lions
Tingle

Tingle and KORL originally appear on Windfall, so then can I recruit them? And the Wind Waker is originally held by KORL, so if I recruit him is the Waker mine?

As for the uses of the Wind Waker, I could control the direction of the wind, and also:

There's a very large door blocking the entrance to the Wind Temple, and the Earth Temple, that can only be opened with the Wind Waker.

Also, can I recruit the sand worms from the boss room as regular enemies? They only occur during the boss battle, but they aren't bosses they just fight alongside Molgera, the boss.

I just talked with Rhalen and he answered those questions. The Wind Waker will not be in the game, and Tingle goes to Tingle Island.

But what about those sand worms? Can I recruit them or not?

Oh yeah, can we do the race for the pearls thing later on to get us the master sword? but no duplication this time.

Also, resources. Should the potionmaker in the forest haven have to gather the dekubaba seeds to make their potions and any other source of things like that?

There are already deku babas on the island so I doubt we would need to collect them again.

EDIT: Question on my part. Traveling. Would Keese be able to travel squares of the map only by flying? Or would they need to be on the boats?

Heroes charm = probably not

If you find a way to mass produce the armor and make some project for it I dont see why not.
