Midori sat in a tree over looking the boarder of the forest and a hilly plain of Thensilia. He said on a thin branch with one leg off the side of it. His other leg crossed at his knee joint and on it's side. His back was leaning against the rough bark of the tree with his arms dangling in the air. He was looking down at the ground, he was pondering what to do with his day. He could just sit here all day, but that would be boring.
He looked around him a bit more closely. He should go do something with his time. He was trying to avoid the war as much as he could, but he knew he would be dragged into it somehow. He didn't even begin to wonder how he would be of any help to any side. He could be a spy maybe, but for which side. He didn't really care, just wanted the world to end this war. Maybe help the side that is winning so they would win faster, a Fairy gaining information could be quite useful. He shrugged to himself and decided to stay out of it as much as he could.

Late morning. The sun rose hours ago and was beaming down on the planet, promising a warm day. Even so, Iantha hadn't bothered to move. She had no motivation today. Her eyes opened once or twice to check her suroundings, but other than that . . . Outside her home was loud. So many people walking by, talking. Why couldn't they go somewhere else? Why couldn't the sun sleep for a while longer, like she wanted to? The chimera rolled to her side to face the bleak gray wall. She blinked twice at it, then threw one arm over her eyes in attempt to block out the sun. Unfortunately, the noise drifting inside was inevitable, but maybe if she didn't think about it, it would fade out. "Iantha!" The aggravating voice of an eleven year old girl echoed throughout Iantha's small home, followed by a series of knockings on the door. Iantha jerked forward and glared at the door, wishing that, with just a stare, she could set it on fire. Then maybe the kid would leave her alone one of these days. But since that was not happening, she crawled out of her corner, opened the door, and scowled at her company. "What do you want, Jillian?" she growled. The dark haired girl smiled despite Iantha's gaze and handed her a flower. A flower. She was woken up for this. "I picked it and thought you might like it. Bye!" Then she took off before anyone could attempt to stop her. Irritated and tired, Iantha stepped outside into the burning light and walked quickly down the road into the dense forest. This was for no reason other than to calm herself. The forest was the only place quiet enough to do this. She took a deep breath and stood in the middle of a thicket of trees, little blue flower still clutched in her hand. Then, she sat down and closed her eyes. Maybe she could just fall asleep here.

Midori had been watching nothing happen for so long he almost didn't notice when a girl had wandered near by where he was. He didn't have time before she moved past where he was. He turned around and watched for a minute. He followed through the trees quickly behind. Nobody else was around so she would have to do. He didn't get a close up look at her but would in a few moments. Watching from a branch he hide behind a leaf pulling it up with his hands to cover his body. The top of his head peeking out from eyes and up.
He looked closely as she sat on the ground and seemed to fall asleep. He moved the leaf and flew down to her location. He quickly hovered around her and noticed black rings around her eyes. Those didn't look that natural, had she slept at all. Maybe he should let her rest, he didn't bother to think about it much. He wouldn't wake her up, he wasn't that mean to people. Well, he wasn't that mean in the first place, just enjoyed pulling some kind of prank of people. What could he do here though. He came unprepared almost. He buzzed his wings silently and hovered in the air in front of her face waiting to see if she would wake up. He had a small smile for himself mostly. He was wondering she would react opening her eyes to a green haired fairy right there, an awkward sight indeed for some.

Attempting to sleep in a forest was not as easy as Iantha has assumed it to be. She didn't have a comfortable place to sleep at home, but this was worse. She was in a sitting position, head hung and shoulders hunched. If she somehow managed to drift off, her back would be hurting when she woke, without a doubt. And now that she had taken the time to walk here, she was not as tired as she had been when Jillian knocked on her door. Iantha twirled the flower in her fingers as she thought about the girl. Dumb kid, she thought. If there was some way to get rid of her, she would do it. But the ideas that came to mind would probably upset her parents. Her thoughts were suddenly interupted by a tiny buzzing noise. Eyes still closed, she tensed and waited for it to pass, but it only drew closer. Great. Not even bugs would leave her be. Was there no place in this world for silence? She sighed quietly and swished her hand up slowly to wave the bug away. Her hand never came in contact with it, but she sensed it there, hovering around her head. Her hands were highly sensitive to touch -she could tell what an object was before even feeling it, and it was obvious to her now that this was not a bug. No, it had human skin. Her eyelids opened, and with mild suprise, she saw a Pixie of some sort before her. It was staring at her with a small grin, which she didn't return. "What?" she snapped. "I don't have anything. Go away." She brought her hand up once more to make it leave. Only this time she used much more speed and force. Many unwanted conversations could be resolved by a simple use of force, and since this was a mere Fairy -er, Pixie; whatever it was- it didn't take much.

Midori waited a moment as a hand came up and missed him. He didn't really have to move much to avoid it but it was a lazy tired wave at him. He was use to that kind of stuff, he had seen sleeping people before. He moved a little close then she opened her eyes. A bit of surprise filled them as she looked at him. He was close enough that her eyes would have had to focus on him, he watched the eyes dialate.
After a moment a hand came up to swatt at him, he moved out of the way and just to annoy the girl a little moved with her hand and clung to the back side of it. She had snapped at him for being there and him wanting something, had she dreamt of something like that? Well, he wasn't going to be going away anytime soon.
"Only wanted to say Hi, I guess." he said still clinging to the flesh of the back of her hand. Holding on tightly but not pinching any skin He grinned before speaking up and quickly did so. Speaking loud enough so that she could hear him. "Don't have to bit my head off, I guess." he said hoping she wouldn't take that literally. He didn't think about that before he said but now thinking about it, he liked his head and wanted to keep it. It was only a figure of speech so it wouldn't be taken too far, hopefully. Not like she could catch him if she did anyways.

Apparently this fairy was different from the rest. Weren't they suppose to be shy? This one really kept at it, though. Rather than fleeing, he stuck to the back of her hand, said a hello, and then shut up, for the most part. And what was with the added "I guess" thing? The sentence was perfectly clear until that. Surely a strange habit to start. Iantha wasn't pleased with the fairy. She continued to give him a loathing stare as her hand dangled before her, supporting his weight -which wasn't much, by the way. She drew in a breath. "Listen. I don't want to be friends, got it? So do yourself a favor and leave." With a flick of her wrist she shooed him off the backside of her hand and closed her eyes again, though she could hardly find it in herself to sleep. It was only a way to show the fairy her distaste in this situation, if he didn't already understand -and she figured he didn't, or rather, he didn't care. But if he chose to stick around, he would only be hurting himself. That part she did not mind the least bit. Is that what it took, though? She had to hurt him to get her point across? She almost felt sorry for him. Almost. Deciding against it at the last moment, she rose to her feet, opened her eyes, and walked deeper into the trees.

Midori tried to ignore her ignorant words that she spat at him. Then he was thrown off of her wrist by force he hovered in the air as she closed her eyes. He only watched her for a moment before she took off. He didn't care what she said now, what she had said put his day on the line. It gave him a big excuse to follow her now. He was going to be quite asumed today for sure.
After a moment he moved after her and quickly flew in front of her face under her eyes while she was walking. He floated there moving with her expecting her to stop, he was far enough away to be seen but close enough to smell the breath coming out of her nose, it wasn't much. His hands were at his side and he had a very curious on his face before speaking with a smug look. He pointed at her before speaking up, "Well, if you didn't be so rude to me I would have left you alone by now, I guess." his voice perky a bit with an annoying tone. He most likely would have left her alone if she didn't turned out to be annoyed by him at all, this was going to be quite the day. He lowered his right hand back to his side and stayed in front of her face near under her nose. If she was going to come up and try to smack him away again he was already wondering if she would hit herself in the face doing that. He smiled at the thought.

The fairy still did not leave her alone. She clearly explained she did not want him around; she walked away and he still clung to her like a leech, only he could fly. A leech with wings. Great. He buzzed around her a few times and, though she was staring straight ahead, Iantha could tell he moved fast for something so small. Maybe not trying to catch him was one of her better ideas. Or so she thought before the rare feeling of a short-lived joy was sapped away by the next thing the leech said. This caused Iantha to stop dead in her tracks. She struggled to keep the bored expression on her face unchanging and her gaze focused on a random tree so she did not turn to look at the fairy. She wanted to slap herself back into the past and take back everything she said to him. No, even better: she wanted to go back home where she was alseep in her bed. That way she never had to encounter this bug. Angry feelings that she could not quite describe or express filled her up. They were directed at both the fairy and herself. In order to compose herself again, she sucked in a lungful of air, let it out again, and took a step back so she could see the fairy more clearly. And with a forced smile she asked, "If I be nicer to you, will you leave me alone?" Suprise suddenly flickered over her face. Now that she was really looking at him, she notice how young he was. In the past minutes he had bugged her, she was always doing her best to avoid staring at him, but now . . . No wonder he was annoying! He was a little kid, just like Jillian! The two showed no resemblence but their attitudes were more or less the same, now that she thought of it. Those thoughts linked together in her mind in a matter of seconds before she realized she appeared more shocked than a would-be nice face. The suprise written on her dissapeared as quickly as it came.
