The day was cool but the wind was light, and the sun was peeking up over the horizon just enough that it was beating down upon Nahatae's bare shoulders warming her up to the point she felt up to taking another one of her small adventures. This adventure, though, would not be nearly as exciting, she believed. Afterall, she was merely returning to the place she had visited the week before.
The Grove was beautiful and full of delicious apples and grapes. Nahatae loved apples, but was a bit more picky on grapes. Green grapes were the only kind that would do. Luckily, there always seemed to be plenty of all sorts of grapes.
This place seemed like it was magical, perfect for anyone to visit and relax. The sun was rising higher in the sky, making the cool, crisp day rather warm. By mid day, it would rise to hott and the shade would most certaintly be her friend.
But so would the fruit. Gathering only two bundles of grapes and only three apples, Nahatae retreated underneath the largest Apple Tree in the grove. She only took what she would need, afterall, who knew who would be around to consider her greedy if she did otherwise.
Popping a few large grapes into her mouth, Nahatae smiled at the sweet, chilled taste it left on her tounge. Then she dared to pop in a few small, tiny grapes. The sour flavor made her face scrunch up like if she had sucked on a lemon, but she laughed and smiled afterwards. Now.. it was time for the apples. She loved apples! She had a red one, a green one, and a yellow one. They all tasted the same to her, but she liked variety. For some reason, she chose the green one. Taking a big bite out of it, she felt the juices slide down her throat and cool her off. Nahatae took a few more bites, and then a few more, nearly finishing off the apple.
Moving the other apples, the core of the green one, and her remaining bundle of grapes onto the grass next to her, Nahatae leant back against the tree and closed her eyes pleasantly. A breeze was forming, pushing back her short hair and cooling her off, while the sun still beat down at the same time. The combination of the sun and breeze kept her at the perfect, most comfortable temperature. Nahatae smiled and sighed, drifting away into her own thoughts.
