Calling All Fans of Galen Gering

Operation SHUIS needs your help!

Are you a fan of Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald, and his talented and handsome portrayer Galen Gering? Were you heartbroken when you learned that Galen would be not be onscreen again until 2006? So are we – and we’re not going to take this laying down. A group of cyber SHUIS fans have joined together to organize a postcard and letter writing campaign to make our voices heard loudly and clearly by TPTB (The Powers That Be). The purpose of our campaign is clearly stated in our slogan: “No SHUIS Without Luis. Hurry Home Galen.” Our reason for watching Passions is to see SHUIS, and without Luis, the show is not the same. We want Galen Gering to hurry home to Passions as quickly as possible, and to see Luis return to Harmony with Marty.

During June 2004, we initiated a campaign to celebrate SHUIS entitled: “SHUIS Make Me Smile,” in which SHUIS fans mailed items with smiley faces on them to Galen and McKenzie to show our appreciation for the five years they had spent making us smile. As you can see, the symbol of this campaign is a frowning face. While SHUIS made us smile, the absence of Luis makes us frown. The other part of our symbol, a purple ribbon, is a physical representation proving that despite his lengthy absence, we have not forgotten about Galen Gering, and eagerly await his return.

This campaign involves sending postcards to Lisa de Cazotte (Passions’ Executive Producer), Sheraton Kalouria (NBC’s Senior VP of Daytime Programming), James Reilly (Passions’ Creator and Head Writer), Soap Opera Weekly, Soap Opera Digest, and Galen Gering. The theme is simple: “No SHUIS Without Luis. Hurry Home Galen.” We’ve created several postcard templates that can be easily downloaded and printed out on postcard paper stock, which can be found here: Or, if you want to create your own cards, simply include the campaign theme, and our symbols (a frowning face and a purple ribbon), so that the recipient knows that you are part of the campaign.

All of the necessary information will be posted on our yahoo web group: By joining this group, you will remain informed on the latest updates regarding the campaign, as well as have access to the postcard templates and addresses.

It’s EASY. It’s SIMPLE. We’ve done most of the work for you!

We believe that this campaign will be very effective if every Sheridan and Luis fan that visits this board takes the time to send in a postcard during the time Galen is away. It will be even more effective if you help get the word out to other SHUIS fans.

Do you have friends who watch the show but don’t hang out on the Passions websites? Let them know about the campaign as well. Do you have cyber friends that no longer post, but still care about SHUIS? Contact them and tell them about the campaign. Urge them to participate with just a couple of postcards.

Every voice counts. Every POSTCARD counts!

We have also created an online petition for people to sign that urges the speedy return of Galen. This petition will be printed and mailed to the recipients of this campaign. The petition can be found here:, and it will take only a minute to sign. No registration is required to sign the petition.

If you are a fan of Galen or SHUIS, we hope that you will send postcards, spread the word about our campaign, and encourage others to participate.

Thanks for your support,

Operation SHUIS.
