Zeebee had been closely monitoring his beloved Commander, along with his usual duties as an alien liaison of course. He seemed to him that he was being pestered by something of late and being the sweet-hearted alien that he was Zeebee had decided to start his boss’s day with a happy surprise. So the Torlonian had gotten an early start to his own day. He had rose from his small bed in his spacious and somewhat spartan apartment from a pleasant slumber, greeting the day with his usual brilliant smile and cheery demeanor. He dressed himself in a bright blue and white and rather snug zip-up jumpsuit, giving his body a shapely masculine form. Then he slipped his feet into a pair of blue and white trainers he was rather fond of and matched his outfit. Zeebee did like to make sure he was color coordinated when he ventured out anywhere, it was just one of those many quirks that belonged to the jolly Zeebee Doy.

With an unnatural amount of glee the extraterrestrial sprinted to work, adding in a few back flips and cartwheels just for the heck of it before he reached Torchwood HQ. Quickly he made his way into the building, straight to the break room with his backpack to prepare the Commander his breakfast surprise. First he used the machinery to make some coffee but not just the original caffeine that the humans seem so fond of pumping themselves with. It was a kind of coffee that the Torlonians had created on their own world to be a healthier alternative. Zeebee, himself, preferred a cup of tea with milk or a glass of milk but he knew Yan liked his coffee, so he decided to make that instead. Then to sweeten the treat he was going to give the Commander he made him a small fruit plate, cutting up a banana into bite size circles and made him some apple slices.

Pleased with his work the alien made his way to Yan’s office, managing the two dishes and opening the door like a professional waiter. “Commander!” He called out cheerfully. He stepped further into the room while displaying the refreshment he brought for him “I bring you snack for enjoyment” Clearly his English was getting better but it still had that broken manner about it that sounded so damn adorable.

If Zeebee had picked up that the Commander was being 'pestered' by something lately, he was more than definitely right. After all, there was more to Yan Harper than met the eye. For starters, he was thousands of years old, not to mention the fact that he couldn't die. That seemed to make him lonely more or less most of the time - not that he allowed himself to think about it often. However, the thing that had been on his mind most recently was his encounter with the Doctor, for the first time since 2010. The fifty-first century, now as it was, and Yan and the Doctor had finally met back up.

Not that it had been a happy reunion. In fact, after snapping at him, one of the first things Yan actually did was punch the Doctor square in the jaw, causing enough of an impact that the Time Lord had hit the ground. His hand throbbed in memory, but he had to admit, he had some sort of grim satisfaction about the whole action. Still, that didn't completely heal the rift that had formed between the pair. Yan fancied himself a certain master of caring for things of the like, though he just had no idea if this was the type of thing that would be fixed as easily as hunting down aliens and stopping them from taking over Earth.

Hearing an overly-cheerful voice, Yan straightened in his office chair, looking towards the door which bore Zeebee's happy visage. Despite however grim Yan himself was feeling, he had to smile at least a little at this cheery support man of his. He had learned long ago that Ianto was never replaceable, though the position had to be filled. He also no longer really started a proper relationship anymore, his only ones of the like being quite short and strictly physical. Yan had slightly ignored any vibes he got from Zeebee, though not blatant enough to be noticed.

Reaching towards the ends of his long sleeves, Yan began to unbutton one cuff and roll up the sleeve. He looked up at the fruit, shooting Zeebee a half-serious look that said 'you didn't have to.' "You know I don't want you to go through so much trouble," Yan reminded him, for what probably was the thousandth time, if not more. "But thanks." He took the coffee and sipped, grinning in response to the man's accent and not-quite-there English. It was still a bit of a turn on for Yan, despite his policy for staying away from his staff (most of the time). The coffee was much better with Zeebee's personal touch, as opposed to the machine's run of the mill blend. "How're you this morning, Zee?"

The cheerful alien did not see it as trouble to serve his Commander. Actually he was quite happy to get or do whatever he required with unwavering loyalty. It was clear evidence the peculiar humanoid was head over heels for him, but he also respected him and cared about him. So doing things to make him happy made him happy. “Oh it is no trouble Commander! I like to do it. You need food anyways and fruit very good for health” He said while he cleaned some room then carefully put the plates on the desk and allowed him to take the coffee “it is special brew from Torlonia, very good for you” he added watching him to see if he was happy. Again he smiled, his golden handsome face lighting up like a Christmas tree when he saw that he had made Yan grin. It was always a pleasure for Zeebee to see Yan Harper grin when he knew things weren’t making his boss happy and it was his doing. It made him feel like he had something worthwhile.

“I am much wonderful thank you…. I hope your morning good?” For a moment he stood there looking at Yan, not sure what to do. Then it clicked to him that he should take a seat and not stand there like a moron staring at his superior, though he certainly wouldn’t mind doing it all day. Yan was definitely a beautiful man. Carefully he eased himself into the chair in front of the Commander’s desk, crossing his legs with his hands nestled in his lap. The Torlonian tried to look professional seating in front of Yan, straightening up his back against the chair and attempted a neutral expression but even then a caring warmth seem to be emitted from the curious alien. However, he couldn’t stop himself to stand something more amiable then professional “I am glad to see you smile Commander. You have nice smile.”
