This is the board's basic canon list. Most of our canons are specifically for this board and our plot, and although there are guides to which face claim you could use, if you're having problems, then feel free to use your own. Because this board is set far in the future, many of the usual Doctor Who and Torchwood canons are not available. This site concentrates more on your original characters becoming much more important, so just let rip and have fun!

originally a time agent and a con man, jack is now immortal due to the actions of rose when under the influence of bad wolf. after the 456, he abandoned earth to get away from the terrible things that he had done. although he never found the doctor, jack knew that the only way to atone for his sins was to help as many people as he could. ending up back on earth in the late 3000’s, he ended up becoming the director of torchwood. time passed, and he took up the name ‘commander yan harper’ to both celebrate his long-dead friends, and avoid his younger self, currently running around with the time agency. the only person to know of his immortal condition is his descendant, mackenzie gilmore. played by saphira.

the canon faq,

1. The character I want to play isn’t on this canon list, but he/she really is a canon!

There’s more than likely a reason for them not being on the list, but if you really think they would work here, please just PM me, and we’ll talk about it!

2. There’s only a few members of Torchwood and the Time Agency on the list! Do you not like them?

I’ve put up some canons for them, but this board encourages your original characters to really make a statement – this stops canons being the only so-called ‘important’ characters on the site!

3. So, are there some Time Lords you’ve missed off the list that I can go and play, then?

This really depends. For now, I want to say no. Unless you have an amazingly original idea that you can pull off, then we’re probably going to say no to non-canon Time Lords. Chat to us if you’re not sure.

4. How long do I even get my reserve for?

We keep characters reserved for 72 hours – three days! That should be more than enough time to get everything together!

5. What if something comes up, and I can’t finish a character in three days, then?

We’re not an unreasonable lot! Just PM one of the staff, and we can extend the reservation for you. Just don’t keep doing it, eh? You’ve gotta have enough time for the character you want to play!

6. Brilliant! Alright then, but what if I want to play a few canon characters? How many can I reserve at once?

Ooh! Fantastic! Well, of course we want you here, so that's great! What I will say is for only to have two canon characters on reserve at the same time. If you want more - and can handle more - later, then that's even better, but I'd rather you stuck with two at the most for now.

Hopefully that should cover the main questions! PM me if you’re still unsure about anything. Now, onto how you should claim a canon of your very own!
