This is the new Killorglin Fire & Rescue patch.

We decided to redesign the patch to more reflect the town of Killorglin.

Every part of the patch has something to do with Killorglin, Kerry
or the Irish Fire Service.

The breakdown is explained below the picture of the patch on this page.

The patch was designed by the Killorglin Fire & Rescue crew

The patch is round to reflect the historical round Irish war shield.

The black background reflects the bogs that surround Killorglin.

The seven flames are to reflect the seven arches in Killorglin Bridge.

The white of the goat and blue of the Celtic Crosses
are to reflect the Laune rangers colours,
Killorglin's local GAA football team.

The blue outer edge is to reflect the river Laune which runs through the town..

The green and gold Celtic knot inner circle
is to reflect the ring of Kerry.

The crossed axes over the Celtic cross reflects
The Irish Fire Service.

The goat which is the centre piece of the patch reflects
Killorglin's well known symbol and original protector, King Puck
