A lot of Korean celebrities are either doing or going to do their mandatory military service nowadays. The list includes, in no particular order, Gong Yoo. Lee Dong Wook, Lee Minwoo, Kim Jae Won, Tony An, Ohn Joo Wan, Yang Dong Geun, Jae Hee, and more. Now, most recently added to the list is M.C. the Max's Jay Yoon.
Jay Yoon, a member of K-pop trio M.C. the Max, forfeited his U.S. citizenship and entered the Korean military on the 17th. He is the last one of the M.C. the Max to serve his military duty. The leader ISU began military service on June 25 and Jeon Min-hyuk on July 27.
Yoon originally planned to serve full duty in the army but was assigned to public service due to his knee injury suffered after a fall at a concert last year. After four weeks of basic training in Nonsan, he’ll be placed at the Mapo Facility Management Corporation in Seoul.
M.C. the Max is expected to make a comeback in 2011 when all three members finish their military duty. Their last album was a special one titled “Rewind & Remind” released in June. Their fans were sorry to see the band go into hiatus so soon after the album was released.
