So everyone knows the issues with killing blow + poison and no other army has as much access to this combination as ours. So I was thinking of maybe a new effect that applies when you have this combination on a unit. This could make the poison upgrade for a necrosphinx a little more desirable, make scorpions a more valid option and also create a few synergies with cursed blades.
Some effects I thought of included:
1. Killing Blow+Poison allows the models to reroll failed to wound rolls.
2. If a model has poison and also the killing blow special rules then all poisoned attacks deal d3 wounds instead of a single wound.
3. If a model has killing blow and also poison then killing blow takes effect on a 5+
We have seen presidence for this type of rule with ASF and higher initiative and I think it would make a representation of the deadly combination of attacks.
Thoughts?
my thought is that this topic needs to be moved to 'house rules' subforum...
Eh? it wasn't meant as a house rule question more of a fix for useless upgrades line envenomed sting. This change could be implemented with a white dwarf update or maybe for an expansion to fill some of the holes our list has but ok........
I think a simple "For every poisoned wound dealt, roll a d6. Any 6's deal a Kiling Blow."
You're still getting all the benefits of Poison, but without losing any opportunities for Killing Blow.
