Title: Skeletons... Size And Formations
Description: How do you run them?

Just wondering how everyone else take their skeleton warriors? Personally I stick a Prince in them and run 50 HW/SH, no light armor in a horde formation.

Ive recently thought about sticking light armor on them and maybe dropping the unit down to 40 and going to a bus, but wanted to see what you all were doing :)

40 with HW/S with a Prince attached, five wide and eight deep. Yes, its a bus....best damn bus in my group too!

I don't think they should ever be ran in horde, they don't win combats with the attacks they put out. Bus all the way, keep those ranks I think.

Better yet, don't take them.

I haven't had much luck with them at all and am on the archer crew I would think.

30-40 Warriors hw/s, sometimes Command and LA depending on points left over.

5 wide w/ Defensive prince w/ GW

My unit is 42 strong, 7 wide with 6 ranks. I wanted to get 40 in regular bus at first, but it was just too ugly for my taste (especially with my testudo formation), so I went with a more square formation. Might not be the best "optimal" unit, but I wanted them to look good above all! A King with sword of strife and some armor/protection is what I usually stick with them.

:)

I use 58 with full command backed up by a TK AND a TP. I run them 6 wide.
Why do I run a prince in the unit? For extra damaging capabilities. T5 with 3 wounds is what some other armies have for a lord choice, we've got it on a hero.
I use Armor of Destiny and a great weapon for the TP. The TK has what looks like a rather unorthodox build; Blade of Antharak, Armor of Fortune, DBG, Iron Curse Icon and shield. The reason for the armor is because I can't always rely on the regen to be there (remember, it doesn't last for the game). With low initiative, I will most likely not be swinging first, therefore, I like the added insurance of the ward til I can get the regen save.

either 60ish with hw&s or 70+ with spears, both in hoard formation, prince with gw in there with a necrotect.
