I've just got a few Questions about the casket of souls:
1: After the spell's gets off and starts 'bouncing' can it affect units in combat/ out of line of sight?
2a: Can the crew be brought back via the restless dead attribute etc?
b: Can the casket itself have wounds restored?
3: Does it still explode if the crew are dead but not the casket itself?
i know most of this may be in the rule book but as i've only been back into Tomb Kings about a fortnight, I haven't managed to get the it yet, it being £45 and all.
cheers everyone

1. No to in combat yes to out of sight (note that the spell is direct damage so even the first target can be out of line of sight
2. A B and 3 are all the same thing. The crew really is just a representation of the wounds for the casket (anlitle different than other warmachines in that the crew different profiles within themselves). Restless dead can heal the casket (it's crew) just like any othe model. If the crew is dead so is the casket as the crew are simply physical representations of the caskets wounds.

|
The first target needs to be in the Caskets forward arch (line of sight is not required). After that it can bounce to any unengaged (not in close combat) unit within 6".
| QUOTE (Question 2a) |
| Can the crew be brought back via the restless dead attribute etc? |
"You always use the Movement, Weapon Skill, Ballistic Skill, Strength, Initiative, Attacks and Leadership of the crew. The Toughness of the war machine is used against ranged attacks and the majority Toughness of the war machine is used against close combat attacks. The crew's amour save (if any) is used against both ranged and close combat attacks. A war machine's Wounds are always considered to be equal to the number of remaining crew models (which is stated in the war machine's entry) - The Wounds value on its profile is included only out of completeness."
Main Rule Book>War Machines>Split Profiles
so: yes

| Can the crew be brought back via the restless dead attribute etc? |
yes
Can the casket itself have wounds restored?
|
The casket itself does not have wounds. Its crew are its wounds for all intended purposes. Keep in mind with each wound lost -you- the controller can choose which crew member dies.
| QUOTE (Question 3) |
Does it still explode if the crew are dead but not the casket itself? |
If the crew are dead then the casket explodes.
