Hello everyone, been reading the forums for a few weeks now, and decided to ask for some help.
Currently I have never played a game of fantasy warhammer and I have only played about 3 games of 40k about 4 years ago.
Also I only have the Tomb Kings codex, not the actual rulebook yet.(I'll have one in about a week or two)
I really liked the style and lore of the Tomb Kings so I started buying varied units. I also just like to paint them, but I'll want to play with them when I am finished.
I love archers, and am very strong in strategic thinking. So I want to list what units I have and ask what units I should work towards getting, to "flesh out"(pun intended) my army.

So far this is what I have.

1x Battalion (thinking about a second or third for more archers)
1x Tomb King w/Chariot
3x Lich Priests
1x Screaming Skull Catapult
1x High Queen Khalida(I like archers so this was a no-brainer for me)
3x Necropolis Knights
1x Tomb scorpion
10x Tomb Guard

I know it isn't much, and that I need more archers to make Khalida worth it. Any recommendations are welcome.

You can never go wrong by adding Warsphinxen!

It looks like you are going for a ranged attack so more archers and a Casket of Souls!

A second battalion would bump you up to 6 chariots and 80 total archers! which is more than enough on archers and a good spot to be on chariots. It will also allow you to toy with Horse Archers and their fast cav goodness!

Catapults should always be taken in pairs :)

So add another Catapult, and pick up a Casket of Souls.

Second Battalion for archers and some more chariots.

I do like the idea of archer cavalry.


Something about the warsphinx just, turns me off... lol.
