Title: Double Team
Description: Best Ally Tactics

I was having a quick look around for cool synergy between TK and an ally that would be able to wreak havoc. So far I've come up with two.
1. Pairing with Chaos Daemons: Casting the Daemon Lore of Slaanesh Phantasmagoria: "All enemy units on the battlefield must roll an extra D6 when rolling Ld tests of any kind, discarding the lowest dice. Lasts until the start of the casters next magic phase"
an EXTRA dice, vs casket. vs SSCs. vs Death Mask. etc. Its horrific. I just want to see someone let the casket through, then take a Ld test on FOUR dice.
2. Epidemius: The Tally of Pestilence paired with Khalida.
"All poisoned attacks will now automatically wound on a ..." for both sides, so you can end up with an unstopable block of skeleton archers hitting on 4s, poisoning on 4s :D
Anyone else got any cool pairings for doubles matches?

from experience we team up well with WoC and beastmen. 2 CC heavy armies and we have some crazy reliable ranged attacks, our chariots keep up with their foot troops and we can get some supporting flank charges if we need to. but then again just about everything teams up well with WoC

I always or very often play with my wife against various opponents. We pair up Daemons of Chaos & TK. Usually we try to focus big magic for me and huge blocks of daemonettes & khornes for her with fiends and others. So close combat for her and magic for me. Out of 10 games we lost only one (against beastmen & empire).
Otherwise I really think we could match up good with ogres...

I've only ever played one Teams game but it went -extremely- well for my side.
Tomb Kings and Scaven vs. Vampire Counts and Orcs & Goblins
I was built more for range and magic and Scaven were more Close combat oriented. >_- our combined hexes kind of helped his rats dominate the Vampire Counts units. The Orcs & Goblins player's army didn't do much that day since he has a bad habit of fielding large Hoards (big part of his points and they Fled off the table).
But anyway, the combined Hexes between the two armies were what caused our killer situation if I remember right.

I think we'd work very well with Vampire counts with them running a leadership bomb build and us running dual catapults with skulls of the foe. Second to that but don't quote me I think there is a few rules of VC that pass over to us being 'Undead' as we still count at Undead as well as 'Nehekaran Undead' as I can remember having a discussion with a VC player a few weeks ago about it. Not 100% sure however.

Yes, we count as "undead", it's even in the FAQ.

when reading this, it seems to me TK are a great pairing up-partner. I can imagine our strengths and our reliability work fine or compliment other armies... Maybe the question should be, with what army we should not pair up?

High elves is just cruel.
Between the casket, banner of sorcery and Teclis we were spitting out 3D3 power dice, just in case we rolled poorly on winds....

I also think Tomb Kings can pair up pretty well with most armies. We have tons of good support units, be it monsters, shooters, or magic oriented units. In fact what we really are missing is an infantry unit that is worth its points, and that is something that most other books can provide.

I noticed the same thing under our last book too. I haven't run any team games under the current book but I ran enough under our old one to firmly believe we were arguably the best partner army in the game. :)
