So, I budget $50 dollar a pay period for building up my new TK army. Below is a list of what I currently have and what I want to know is what should I pick up over the next few pay periods. My eventual goal is 3000pts.

My play style is I like diversity. I run crazy list just to see what will happen.I am not a competetive player.......at all.

So what should I buy this pay day? Sphinx, Ushabti, more warriors, etc.

You're almost guaranteed to get a lot of votes for the Sphinx. I'd say either pick up the Sphinx or some Stalkers/Necropolis Knights.

My response wil be more boring than a sphinx. I'd say another box of warriors and bring your skellies up to 50, and your archers to 14. Then next time you can get another box, make archers, and have 50 warriors and 30 archers available. After that go for a sphinx. That's what I'd do, but I'm kinda slow and methodical like that.

Well the only other TK player around my area is playing with chariot and bowshabti spam, he's winning so I would suggest either more chariots or ushabti. I agree that more basic skeletons are a good idea but as I haven't quite figured out how to win with the new book my opinions are a off. Though glad to see you have a casket, my fav thing in the TK book. :)

in the sphinx box you get a Titan/colossus "for free"
in the knights box you get stalkers "for free"
both needing some remodeling...

i say warriors/ archers cuz without core you cant play..or TG there just a fun kit to make

Thanks for the input. My FLGS doesn't have any warriors at the moment but they do have some Bowshabti soooo......that will be this payday's purchase.

Bowshabti are awesome. The Sphinx kit, is, though, almost certainly the best bang for your buck- giving you 3.5 models essentially- Tomb King/Prince, your choice of Sphinx (Warsphinx suggested), half a Colossus if you didn't build the Necrosphinx (or even a Necrosphinx if you have it 'emerging' from the sand), and enough gribblies to make a pretty convincing Tomb Swarm base. Or, a Royal, Necrosphinx, Gribblies, 4 Tomb Guard/Charioteers/Casket Guard/whatever and some kitty bits.

Sadly while I love the models for the Ushabti, I hate the ones for bowshabti. Mostly those stupid heads, almost as bad as the Carmen Miranda bone giant head! Grumble grumble. Just ugly and poorly made, only Prince Apophas and the God awful new liche priest are worse(in my view) and that is annoying.
