Title: Storm Of Magic

Apologies if there is a thread elsewhere for this

Has anyone played TK in storm of magic?

I have and thoroughly enjoyed it, especially once i got " return to the golden age" off, seeing the glorious legions at there peak was quite awe inspiring.

Even basic skellies managed to kill stuff and the tomb guard/ necro knights plus characters were pretty unstoppable.

In hindsight i may have played it a bit wrong, using the Tomb Kings ws of 9 for the tomb guard?!?

Also enkhils Kanopi is great in SoM.

Never played it... never even seen it played.

i have played it and you were useing the MWBD wrong since its an augment, but that aside it is alot of fun and the kanopi is amazing.

Storms of Magic is incredibly broken and unbalanced; theres so many cheese ball moves you can do in that game that can take all the fun out of it.

If you play it with any sense of competiveness then you probably wont have a good time, but if you play it casually and just try out wacky stuff with your friends its pretty fun though.

Played it quite often. It's super fun! I bring Truthsayers with Lore of Life just so I can heal my constructs more efficiently.

Anyway, the Tomb Guard would be WS8, not 9.

They will always get the unmodified WS, which is 6 from the King, and then Golden Age gives them +2, for a total of 8.

WS8, S6 (or S7 with Halberds), and I5.... Yep pretty much unstoppable. Get a Priest with the Lore of Light and cast Time Amok, and see your archers take down wizards on fulcrums (you can only make your 3+ ward that many times)

Khatep got sucked into the warp once, but then the Lore of Life ultimate cataclysm spell brought him back. And then there was this one time with the Chaos War Mammoth....

So many epic moments!

Storm of magic is really fun providing all parties are not taking it seriously. Its just a funtime game with so many broken/fun aspects.

I remember miscasting and turning my opponents 800 point or something 9 wound level 4 wizard dragon into a frog then proceeding to kill it with 20 archers lol.

Some of the spells are really fun, vamp counts have a spell that raises 6 d6 worth of grave guard and a hero for them, that is pretty nasty.

hey yammy just to clarafy the TG dont benifit form the +2 when using mwbd its all based off of the king/prince WS thats why lore of shadow doesnt mess with the unit too bad. they can use melkoths on the unit the king will go down but the mwbd keeps the tg at ws6/5
