Hi, all.
I'm finally getting back into Fantasy and have decided to buy a friend's unpainted TK army from him piece by piece while he assembles Beastman horde of Papa Nurgle. We're going to do a progressive campaign, moving up 250 points after each battle, starting at Warbands.
So, for 250 points, I figured I'd take:
Tomb Prince w/GW
10 skellies w/LA, spears and shields
5 skellies w/HW and bows
I'm expecting a Wargor w/Mark of Nurgle, so he'll have 3 wounds like the Prince. I'm taking spears because I'm either/or on them, unlike most people (they seem to come in handy around here against lots of Elves), and because my friend already had a unit assembled and primed, so I figured I'd paint them ASAP and get underway. With the average Ld of 6, I'm hoping Fear checks will keep the Gors far enough away that I can pepper them with arrows or do my own charging or maybe, maybe get off a Mankara's on My Will Be Done and slam them early on.
However, when we move up to 500 points, he's already assured me that he's taking a Tuskgor (why wouldn't he? They're too good not to take) and multiple Hound units, which means his army that already outmoves me will now be running circles around me and have a chariot that I don't have a really solid way of removing.
Any thoughts?
