High Elves? They look gay and puny but i understand prettiest with a dainty feel, so high elves.

I voted for dark elves, i like all the models of the druchii and looking at a well painted dark elf army i a nice sight.

hell, how did all these tomb king votes come here? Tomb Kings are far from the prettiest army painted! The one which really needs a good painter is the high elves and thus they are the prettiest.

I think the reason for the many votes on Tomb Kings is the fact that this is a rather TK-friendly forum..... :rolleyes:

Yea but elves look puny. My fav army as a whole is chaos, if painted nicely, they would look unstoppable.

I took prettiest to mean the best looking...and I feel that TK, when painted well, are a very very cool looking army. The whole egypt feel is very cool. Ushabtis look sweet when painted as well.

My second choice would be empire. The new empire models are very cool looking.

I think that TK are the prettiest army.. The egyption style, the colours, the designs of the Ushabti, Tomb Scorpion, Casket of Souls.. It's amazing :D and the next should be Vampire Counts :P (just saying that maybe because it's my favorite army ;) ) :)

well as a tk player i can see wher a lot of you are comming from but if you look at the actual model and conversion technique there aint a whole lot you can do to them. So in this respect I would say Ok because of the eastern feel you could have anything from mongol to samuria(spelling) and everything between this is the same reason I have a khorne mortal army in my wierd world they are a nomadic tribe from the eastern steppes and so it was conversion conversion and conversion form me

ALL HAIL TOMB KING GER'ARD! Seriously, I am a newby to the tomb king regime, and I think that they are the best army out there! Any tips on painting them? I actually haven't gotten any yet, so also what are the best pieces for a beginner? ;)

as an army i love the skaven (that's why i play them), to my eye there is nothing more beautiful than a vast horde of warriors swamping the table....

that and it also means i can vary colour schemes easily, and claim that each unit is from an 'ally' of my clan, and really rats can be painted in any style...

my army is exceptionally shiny for a skaven army (normally dark browns and dark skin) and my colours are big and bold (elf flesh, mithril silver, boltgun metal, dark angels green in between big shiny things......

a complete khornate chaos army led by a bloodthirster would also be cool though

Every army can be painted in a beautifull way and can be converted in a beautifull way.

But from normal models I just love Khemri.And I'll probably love my Saurus skellies most of all.(exclusive zephyro unit :lol: :lol: )(cannot be buyed in normal stores) :lol:

I will also post my whole convertion story + picture(s) on the internet soon.

They are going to get scimitars because that are the coolest weapons I have ever seen.

I agree with zephyro that every army can be beautifully done.

If I have to choose I'll vote for DE. I prefer the darker shades usually used for DE over the lighter shades for HE.

Dwarves and Empire can look really nice as well when they are done in a convincing colour scheme.

I hate chaos (except maybe nurgle) because more often then not they are done in very bright colours. Too colourful for my taste.

Beastmen can look nice if the remodelling isn't overdone, but theses tend to have too little colour, though I've seen pictures of a Highlander force (all blue and white) which I liked.

Lizzies and Brets have the same problem as most chaos - too colourful mostly.

Ogres? You'r kidding me right? The models are SOOOOO! ugly.

Skaven usually are the exact opposite of chaos, lizzies and brets. I know one army that is done really nicely with all the slaves in yellow and black with many models from different races ... well slaves...

Vampires are about the same as TK. Nice but not that good.

Chaos in bright colours? geez... U must have seen some whack chaos painters. I go up against Khorne players, and its all Black/Red/Gold and it kicks major ass. They look just like they are going to pound me into the ground... and that is usually what happens (Mind you we play 500 point matches because I'm still assembling... and TK aren't great when they are small = (

Chaos and D.E. do look very good. I hate Dwarves, they look stupid. If someone knows what they are doing then Brettonia would take the cake, if done properly they beat every other army hands down I've decided.

Tomb Kings are my choice. It's what drew me to the army in fact, that and then I looked at the army book but thats besides the point. I love the way you can make your army look dirty and worn but still noble and rich. That and the model range (excluding TK) look fantastic if you take your time.

I'm not interpreting 'pretty' as 'best looking' but as something more specific, for which I'd say high elves, Brets, and lizardmen are probably my top three. Tomb Kings can look good, but not particularly pretty in my book.
