Hmm good question. I had assumed you wanted to play it like the Stronghold from your original post. With the dice rolls and all that visual appealing-ness. But, we all know about assumptions...

I'm down for either.. your pick.

It's not what we want, its what YOU want. Your thread friend, I'm just hear to help your Theoryhammer. How you want to accomplish that is up to you.

If you want I'll be here at 8:30. Well I'm here all day, so.. meh..

Ok, lets start with a little Theoryhammer then. Sorry, work picked up speed for a while there.

Quite honestly I expected you to choose the top side of the map, but let's assume I get the top side as you implied in your picture.

It will depend on what you deploy like, of course, but I think my Salamanders and Kroxigor will deploy on the far left, as they are both Aquatic and able to move through the lake with no penalties. My Saurus blocks will go down the center, with the main 20-man (20-lizard I guess) unit flanked by the normal Saurus on the left. The Ninja Steath Saurus and the Terradons shall go down the right hand side near the hill to try and get into flank charge position.

The non-scouting Skinks will deploy in front of the big 20 man Saurus block to screen from shooting. The Scouting Skinks will deploy within the forest in your deployment zone unless you deploy a unit nearby to counter that, in which case I will deploy them in the lake, using the special rules for Scouting Skinks (if they are deployed within a water feature and more then 2'' from the edge they count as out of sight for the purposes of Scouting deploymen).

My Slann and Scar-Veteran will deploy with the big Saurus block for now, and my Skink priest will deploy on the hill to the right to get lots of LOS for the Slann to use and for Forked Lightning.

If I was playing the Tomb Kings: I'd save my Chariots for last and deploy them close to the forest, so they can use their Fast Cavalry and Urgencies to avoid the Kroxies and Salamanders, plus shoot some bows at the Skink Priest or the Skink Skirmishers if they get a chance.

Tomb Scorpions should probably be deployed normally to help the Chariots or Warrior blocks with kills (maybe one in ICFB to try and assassinate my Scar-Veteran if it arrives on time).

You will probably need a Warrior block to stop the Kroxigor and then have something flank charge them to start them running.

That salamander/krox flank is pretty scary. I'm assuming salamanders can shoot 360 so march blocking with carrion isn't so smart. I'd probably stick some bowmen over there and hope to pick off enough handlers for a panic test.

Like you, I'd stick my skeleton blocks in the center and simply just move up, presenting a target to charge.

Carrion can hopefully chase down any sniper skinks screening your units.

I'd load my right flank with the chariots and just send them down field as fast I could. Hopefully a flank charge on a smaller saurus block can cause panic down the line.

King/Prince/Scorpions used to help skeleton blocks in combat.

Most likely you will get more charges than I'd like, due to your magic defense. But thats where the dice come into play, maybe I'd get a lucky Urgency incantation or 2 off.

I really don't have anything to deal with those Kroxigors.

Edit**** Just read a few posts and realized it kinda sounded rude/confusing. I meant I'd do whatever you wanted to do - you pick.

Here's another great program for creating battle maps:

http://www.warhammer-empire.com/theforum/i...p?topic=14962.0

It lets you create maps, move and rotate units very easily. However you will need to install the .net package for windows if you don't already have it.

G'luck guys! tongue.gif

Aye, this was the program mentioned earlier, I really like it, it's just you can't really customize terrain. It's either big hill, small hill, trees or some buildings.. kinda limited.

Since Cragspyder and I are using paint, I'd be willing to try that program Plasmapuff posted.. I've got some O&G lists I'd like to try before dumping my money. Then maybe our fellow TK players can decide which of the 2 they'd prefer.

I am so sorry, there is no real excuse for such a long absence.

I have kinda fell out of whole Warhammer thing for quite a bit now, but you would figure I would find the time to pop in and explain what was going on, not letting this hang blank for so long. To be honest I haven't been reading these forums at all until today.
Things just seem to slip my mind like this all the time....

Sounds pretty lame to me and I'm the one typing it.

I will try to get back on track and maybe I will pick up the thread again soon if you still care to put up with me. If not we can just close the thread.

Once again I am sorry for being such a tool.

Hah! You live! It's ok, I totally understand - as it is right now I'm tired of playing Tomb Kings so I can relate to burning out. We can do what you want, if you don't feel like keeping it going that's fine - since I'm not sure how you're feeling. In either case - you don't need to apologize... and you're not a tool!
