Now that I'm past Adepticon I plan to devote more time to working on my Tomb Kings. Originally I was going to try and do an army of Ka-Sabar thinking that it hadn't really been mentioned much in the fluff. Since I haven't read much of the Nagash books from Time of Legends, I didn't know that they featured into that story at all and are actually described there.

This creates a few problems for me. I already have my colors picked out from early test models (green and purple) which do not match the already written fluff.

So I've been thinking of coming up with my own city-state and wanted to throw out the basic beginnings to everyone for comment.

The story starts off in Lahmia around the time of Neferata. A growing number of nobles became suspicious of their Queen. When she killed Khalida and started to convert her supporters over to her hidden cult (i.e. Vampires) certain nobles grew discontent. Rather than fight a war they knew they couldn't win, the nobles departed across the straits and founded their own city-state.

This new city state became increasingly detached from the rest from Khemri. The city grew very proficient at warfare from having to defend itself from the various hazards of the Dark Lands and even became a trade hub for a brief time before it finally fell from the taint of Nagash. While still remote and distant the Tomb Kings of this city still feel the pull of their kindred in Khemri will aid anyone who calls upon them save their hated foes in ruined Lahmia.

That's about where it ends at this point. So my questions are;

Does this make sense considering existing fluff?
What would you like to see/read in order to flesh out the fluff above?

Thanks!

'aid anyone who calls upon them'?

Seems kind of odd. Otherwise, good beginning.

By "anyone who calls upon them" it should read "any of their Nehekharen breathren".

I hope to start working on the models and fluff a little more in the near future.

For name I'm thinking Taremhi, taken from the actual Taremu. In ancient egyptian this translated to something long the lines of "City of Lions". Fitting since I'm planning on using a couple war sphinx and/or converting my necropolis knights to ride cat constructs instead of snake constructs.

Yeah, the Sphinxes are nice. Are you gonna use a Necrosphinx or just Warkitties?

I prefer warkitties for the sphinx options. Although when the book first came out I was enamored with the Necrosphinx so that's all I own at the moment.

I need to find some acceptable models to replace the serpents for my knights though. I'm thinking I might use the lions from the HE chariots as a base but I"d like them a little larger.
