Hmm, I thought it would be nice to note that I largely agree with what you say. Let's keep it to the 'undead-rule-package' though. charging magically and incantations is a different story that's difficult to properly analyse. we're not taking into account our new, better chariots and carrion either. the package of crumbleOnHieroDeath+Unstable+notMarching+noChargeReacting used to balance unbreakable+fear in a different context, and different rules even (fear most notably). Of course we got our cost reduction to balance the new fear. still, it turn sout that in 8th edition, unbreakable isn't all that anymore. every peasant that brought some general and a banner can be 'unbreakable enough' Of course it is still nice that our skelleton-peasants are unbreakable at the edges of the board as well, but that's just a perk, and hardly the unique and horribly strong army-advantage that should be paid through the nose for; which is what we are still doing with crumbling+nomarching. but eh... vamps are excluded from unstable as well? -------------------- Ceterum censeo quod chaos-nani non realis libri!

Vampire models that have the "Undead" special rule and the "Vampiric" special rule may march and will never suffer wounds because of a slayed general.
So models with the "Vampiric" rule will still suffer wounds from the unstable rule, but not from a slain general. Thats about it, the other Lords en Heroes that don't have the vampiric rule can still die from a slain general. Note: that some vamp players like to put Wight Kings in their units as it gives them LD 9, meaning that even with a slain general they will not suffer that much wounds. But yeah Mortis engine's like to blow up when the general has been slain.. have seen it happen multiple times. |

Well, it's good to see that you won the game at least! I only hope that I am lucky enough to do that kind of damage before I lose my heiro!
