Many things heralded the Rise of Kroakatoa from the seas around Lustria. Falling Stars, reports of Boiling seas, and most notably, the Chaos Moon had stayed in one spot for over three hours during nightime. No one noticed it at the time, as they were asleep, but the signs were all there.

Something Lurks in the darkness. Every race knows that. Only the ignorant and the foolish try to deny that one base truth in the Old World. Only the largest, and the toughest, can even hope to face such monsters, and live. The dark things, the twisted, horrible things that lurk in the darkness feed on the fear that only mortals can show. They feed, and grow powerful.

But most things that live in the Dark are little more smarter than Animals, and it takes an exceptionally powerful Dark one to command any number of them, but it is easy to attract them. Whenever something unnatural happens, they are usually there, when something that has been manufactured, yet shakes the globes with its force awakes, they are there to feed on the Chaos that leaks from the tortured lands.

One such place has arisen, where the souls of Mortals and Dark ones alike are drawn like carrion to a dead, bleeding heart. They think that they are the commanding forces of the world, that they can truly tame this newly arisen land, but the only victor to be had here, is Chaos...
