What do you think of the Character I would greatly apreciate your feedback thanks.
So it is said of Nikka king of Quartar he was so favoured by Ptra that he and his priests were, alone, given the knowledge to use the suns power against his enemies in fact it is said that Nikka's body was surounded by an aura of white light and that on more than one occasion he was able to block out the sun by reciting an incantation thus bringing about the deaths of numerous greenskins with his archer's blessed arrows. He was shocked upon his awakening to find that his body no longer shined and that his incantations, for unknown reasons, failed him thus he clad himself in all that was Ptra blessed in order to restore his former aura although it is still said that his eyes burn like two suns during battle. M:4 WS:6 BS:3 S:5 T:5 W:4(5) I:3 A:4 LD:10 Special Rules: Flammable, Nekharan Undead, The Curse, My Will Be Done, Heat Of Sun, Army of the sun, blinding aura Items Blessed Armour Of Ptra: counts as heavy armour bearer gains +1 wound (included in profile) Ptra's Blessed Sield: if armour save is required model in B2B contact is reduced to WS1 for remeinder of turn Ptra's blessed vambraces: enemy model in B2B has its atacks reduced by 1 Army of the sun: This special rule negates the bonuses that the lore of light has against the undead Blinding Aura: Nikka has a 5+ ward save Heat of Sun Any attacks made by Nikka reduce armour save by 1 265 points |

Hey!
This character is really cool and I especially like "Army of the Sun" Not sure if the Blessed Shield is very cool, or Heat of the Sun. How about combining the two? Maybe a mirror shield is in order? "Always Strikes First" in the first round of combat? I'd put the points cost at 280.. At least on par with a destroyer king + potion of toughness points cost (and your character even "buffs" the army!) Now that would make this guy awesomeness ^^ Used him recently....? -------------------- |

Really nice character and the Army of the Sun rule is a clever touch! I think he is a definitely underpriced, his statline is near that of Settra (if I remember correctly) and has many special rules. I'm no expert in pricing the units, but I'd but him near or maybe even over 400 points. Also, could some really touchy human right activists be aggravated by the name Nikka as it "might sound to some like Nigger"...?

Shouldn't be an issue as long as you enunciate and don't sarcastically stress the last part of the name. It's printed ending with 'kka' not 'gger' *shrugs* I would just point to the written form of the name and explain it wasn't your intention to offend anyone if any misunderstanding occurs. I wouldn't change Bob because someone might mistake it for boob and take offence. *shrugs* ^^ -my two sense For n.s.f.: I like it though I'd agree you might need to adjust the point value. -------------------- I look only to the good qualities of men. Not being faultless myself, I won't presume to probe into the faults of others.

Ah yes that may be an issue but I only chose that name because it was name it came up with when I typed my name into a Navi name converter so it is really James Cameron's fault. If you took offence I do apologise

Haha, no, I didn't take any offence and I meant that remark mainly as a joke. Still, you can read all kinds of uprisings on really ridiculous stuff everywhere in the world. While I think racism awareness is good, I think making a too big deal out of it just easily has the opposite effect, i.e. promoting racist thinking.
In Finland, where I live, we had candies called Niggers' kisses. They were sold with that name until maybe five years ago, then the maker (was forced to) change the name to Brunberg's kisses (the name of the manufacturer was Brunberg). I think it was mainly foreign pressure that forced the name change, as in Finnish language, the equivalent of nigger, neekeri, originally was taken to mean all the black people and had no similar offensive meaning as in English. Anyway... Didn't mean to derail the discussion and by all means, keep the name Nikka, I think it has Egyptian feel to it and thus fits perfectly. |

Yes after all the feed back I may change his points cost and lose some special rules and maybe tone him down slightly
