Hey everyone,
I've been looking at Tomb Kings for a while and really what I like most about them is the Entombed Beneath the Sands units. The fluff too, the stories of a treasure-hunting army confidently marching towards the Tomb Kings armies, only for scorpions and giant snake-things to pop up around them. The actual units themselves are cool too in my opinion, I've always loved the scorpions and these new Necropolis Knights and Sepulchral Stalkers look very cool. I think it would be really fun and interesting to do an army that has a lot of EBtS units in it. I'm probably going to do this whether you think it's a good idea or not But anyway do you think an ambush-style army like this could work. A few units of skeletons to take up core requirements and to deny steadfast, make some of them archers too to kill off enemy chaff. Then fill special with Knights, Scorpions and Stalkers. Maybe a Casket too for typical low LD monsters, a Necrosphinx would work but the cost almost twice as much. Plan would be to march up in the usual painfully slow Tomb Kings style, then just as you get close enough that charges might start, the EtBS units start hopefully popping up and your opponent starts panicking. Or they scatter off the board and you lose a 200pt unit. But hey I'm not trying to win tournaments with this, that's what my Skaven are for Like I said I'll probably go ahead and do this anyway but just curious about any thoughts/opinions/advice/experiences anyone has. |

Here is a link to an Entombed Beneath the Sands Tactica thread by Veritas that delves into the use of this ability. -------------------- I look only to the good qualities of men. Not being faultless myself, I won't presume to probe into the faults of others.
