TK in a tourney a free builder

Hey everyone. New member here and I just like to say its nice to see some TK players out there.

Anyhoos, I have two things to discuss, one was my results in a tournament I recently competed in with my TK army and the other is a free flash warhammer calculator I built a while back.

The calculator only supports TK and Dark Elves. Just so everyone gets this clear, this thing is totally free. There are no adds on my site or anything of that nature. The only benefit I get from this is a nice feeling for providing a handy little tool to any Warhammer players out there, especially all the bad-ass TK owners.
Right now you can't export your list and ya can't configure magical equipment. I find it handy to quickly tally my army list.

Check it out at :
http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~nnattam/warhamm...hammerdemo.html

So the tournament....

Overall: 2000 pt army and you could not change your list once the games started. We each got to play three games. I lost all three but learned quite a bit about my TK army and what I should never do. I fought Nurgle Chaos, Beastmen, and Dark Elves.

My army:
1 TK and 3 LP
2x15 Skel Warriors
1x8 Heav. Calavary
1x10 TGuard
1x15 TGuard
1x3 Ushtabi
1 T.Scorpion

The night before the tourny, I made a big mistake by switching a unit of Skels for Horsemen. In all the games I've played so far, I've found TK Heavy Calvary so damn useless. The can never seem to hold up to much and definetly NOT worth the cost (if you feel otherwise, please tell...I would like to use the models that I have).

I try to use as much spell attrition as possible to widdle my enemy's dispel dice pool so I can cast my Liche Priest Incantations. This works excellent with a TK in the army since he gets 2 incantations. Equip your priests with extra casting abilites, just pack as much bound crap as you can. Plus on the TK give him the crown so he cast 2d6 and choose the higher number.

In terms of fighting, skels sucked, but serve as good fodder. Tguard have become my best friends and Ushtabi are near godly. However, I learned that keeping your units together and charging at one point is so damn neccesary. The TK is absolutly awesome. I gave him the Crown and the Flail that double every unsaved wound. With this weapon alone, he dished out 6 wounds in one round. Super bad ass.

Anyhoos...I seem to be rambling on.

I would summarize, but most of you play TK's a lot and are gonna find this info very amateur.

So anyhoos, try out the calculator and tell me what you think!

I will have a look at the army builder when I get home, good work on it, are you by any chance interested in REALBasic?

--------------------
I don't really play Tomb Kings any more, I spend all my free time at woarl.com. It's a free turn based strategy/role playing game (yes really all those things). You should come and give it a try.

Not sure what REALBasic is but I will look into it.

If anything, I'll say yes simply cause I love to try just about anything.

thx for the comments.

Yeah definetly. It's really easy to add new armies.
Right now a Computer Science major friend of mine is writing a python script to help build army lists faster. I am in the middle of making a Orc one (TOO MANY UNITS ARGH!) and want to make a dwarf one soon. I am gonna do some updating over the next week when i have spring break from my college.

One note I wanted to add about the builder. I haven't fixed teh TK list so it display the correct stats (don't worry, point values are right). And I will update it so it displays the stats of all parts of a unit (mount, champion , etc).

So what can you do about the magic items.... All I found was an option to take 100pts and nothing else.... did I miss something or is that option all there is?

eek, my bad, let me make some clarifications.
the builder is totally a work in progress...so there are many features not yet added.

As for Characters, unfortunatly you can only add the max number of points of equipment. Very soon here I am going to change it so that you can just add the number of points for the equipment and then hopefully add in item lists you can select from. The same counts for Banners.

Also, at this current time, there are no race specific rules in. For example, TK chariots will still be added as core regardless of TK or TP being general. Same goes for Orc specific rules, etc.

I'm working on a way to implent these race specific rules into the system.

So yeah, there are plenty of holes and the builder is VERY far from finished.

Can i ask you about copyrights from GW? From what i have heard they are not very friendly to people who post stat lines on the internet.

Apart from that looks amazing. Well done
