I am on the fence. I just can't shake the feeling that they're shaking the money tree. And of course 3 films are better than 2. Unless they take all the action and put it in films 1 and 3, and film two is a loooooooooooong uneventful piece of pants. I'm also concerned that since they finished filming in March are they going to film more or just spread out what they have with more CGI.

To be honest I don't care if it are 2,3 or even 7 movies as long as they are good. If they aren't he will have a sh!tstorm over him

Jackson wants to do it for the filming purposes, higher up than his want money, if he has proven that the third film is worth the investment then I think he must have something good to show!

Personally, I'm confident that he'll make a great job of the films.
The only downside I can see is having to wait an extra year to see The Hobbit in it's entirety.  |

Hello.
For me "lord of the rings" were disappointing enough. Too much tinkering with great story by great writer. Not very excited about "the Hobbit" therefore. I do have to say, that the world was beautifully realised, if story was less so. - Dlock |

I must confess, I am currently reading the Hobbit... for the first time. I am actually loving the story. I do not know how long a film it would require to do it justice (or films for that matter). So long as they give it justice, I will be happy.
