Here's some juicy rumors from Darnok on Warseer.

June will see some metal-to-Finecast action for Fantasy, with Dark Elfs, Lizardmen and our Tomb Kings being the target.

First price is current price for the metal, and then the new and improved (dry.gif ) Finecast price, with the increase ration in red. Prices are in pounds. So anyone in need of some of those, hurry up and get yourself some peace of mind with some nice metals minis wink.gif

QUOTE (Darnok)
Settra ... 20,50 > 23,50 ... +15%
Khalida ... 8,20 > 9,50 ... +16%
SSC ... 22,50 > 24 ... +7%
Tomb Scorpion ... 13,80 > 15,50 ... +12%
Bone Giant ... 30,75 > 36 ... +17%
Carrion ... 9,75 > 22 (this better be a set of 2 for only a minor price increase, or 3 for a good saving)

Also listed: "Tomb Kings Tomb Heralds" for 23,50. There is currently only one set of this name, for 12,30. There has to be some serious change here.

The full post on Warseer can be found here.

I can't see why they would bring out TK along with two others? They always seem to upgrade/change one army at the same time, plus other armies are in much more need of a general upgrade (bretonians, wood elves, daemons of chaos,...).
Would be nice though to have the giant modified into hiero & coloss and the SSc somehow nicer and in plastic (not finecrap =\)

So they're just going to convert the bone giant directly over to finecast without changing it to a new model/kit/heirocombo? *sad panda*

This is a month with no army release, so it's not uncommon to have a Finecast wave spreading over multiple armies.

Concerning the Giant, it's a bit odd to have it Finecasted, but that can mean 2 things. Either the rumor was false, or the kit is still not ready for a release so soon.

One thing to note, is that the DE's Witch Elves are also rumored to be in the work for a plastic kit, but since it's (mostl likely) not yet ready, they are Finecasting the current metal.

So they are probably merely getting rid of the metal they still have lingered around. Plastic version should come whenever the appropriate kit is ready. I think it happened previously to the Tyranid Hive Tyrant that went metal>Finecast>plastic on a relatively short period, so it's not impossible.

Look to the massive finecast 40k release this month

It is a release "in addition" to the normal release which generally includes 3 plastic kits and 3-5 finecast releases, + a book (when an army is released). The releae consistis of a large range of metal to finecast conversion from multiple armies in 40k.

If you look back in the past history of releases, there has even been mixed fantasy/40k releases with each getting a multitue of different races converted over to finecast. Its purely a range update/conversion over to the new material and will continue until their entire back catalogue is re-released.

As for June new releases, it is ment to be a fantasy month but rumours are pointing to 3 new plastic kits for 40k in the form of fliers...

If the bone giant does come in June in Finecast, I think we can effectively put the rest the idea that we'll see a new Titan/Colossus combo kit in our lifetimes. sad.gif

And the heirotitan about the one model I'm likely to actually buy. I guess I still believe they'll get it in there somehow.

23,50 for heralds? who among us even wants two of them?

could be a kit of three, with a horse and chariot included, and a cool flail of skulls to upgrade to our special herald, and a nice optional banner.
cool ideas enough

The Empire Engineer on mechanical horse doubled in price when it went to Finecast (from 20$ to 40$ or something like that), so don't be surprised if it's the same old blister with the same Heralds in there smile.gif

Wow...

Sometimes you have to wonder how big the disconnect is between the people setting the prices and the guys making the rules are...

"Hmm, this thing looks like it might be a bit too good. Let's make it unreliable!" *adds a 1/6 chance to permanently lose d3 move every turn*

"This is a Robot Horse... In Warhammer... Clearly it must be awesome, let's bump up the price!"

I think you hit the nail on the head Sleboda, and it makes me sad.

At least I will finally be able to get some SSCs.

They are up on GW. It doesn't appear that everything got a price increase. Settra and the SSC look to be the same price and the carrion now come in a three pack.
