But didn't that line you state right there claim that monstrous Calvary are in respect similar to Calvary in all purposes just with more wounds? And did KB not state it affects calvary?

House Cats and Lions are similar; good luck 'Curb Stomping' a Lion.

'Cavalry' and 'Monstrous Cavalry' are similar but there are notable diffrences and the rules clearly state that Curb Stomping (Killing Blow) a Monstrous anything (Cavalry or otherwise) is not posible.

Because the -Rider- of a Monstrous Cavalry model is not a 'Character' you can not claim 'Killing Blow' against him reasoning he would be a lowly infantry model. Non-character models are what they are listed as in their profile and nothing more or less.

Stalkers worked well for me the other day, I fielded a unit of 4 and they came in and caused some serious damage to them early on and took out the steam tank. Honestly, anything that avoids armor saves would be usefull agains these. Even a king with the onyx blade and some defence would reliably cause huge damage to the unit.

Are you one of those who claimed Nehekaran Undead wasn't Undead by any chance? tongue.gif

nope for sure wasn't one of those haha. And the only reason i am having this conversation is because I want to hear the facts behind this before i go back to my LGS and tell the guy who told me such a thing was possible.... Because I too do not think you should KB monstrous Calv, however... if they are like calv... but the only difference being more wounds.. and calv can be KB... then a conudrum has occured!

(I am not trying to start any hate or what not, just honest questions with honest answers)

I also appologize for slightly derailing the topic, please lets continue back to the main issue at hand!

They're not that similar to Cav, though. Yes, they're soldiers riding things. But whereas normal Cav is soldiers riding horses, Monstrous Cav is soldiers riding things like Demigryphs, giant stone statues of snakes, or massive ox beasts. Or dragons.
