Ello folks,

I just finished my test-model for my paintscheme. It is an easy painted army and i don't want to give my TKs a lot of time to paint. I have chosen them for a fast paint-job and this is what i came up with.

Hopefully you guys have some pointers and compliments.

Keep in mind, this is a washed army (hopefully speedpaint)

Quite spiffy for speedpainting! What's your recipe?

Undercoat white

Wash everything with Agrax Earthshade
Drybrush everything with Tyrant Skull (dry-range)

Do red with Mephiston Red
Do bronze with Balthasar Gold
Wash both colors and wood parts (again) wtih Agrax Earthshade (don't wash the parts you want white)

Highlight white parts with Ceramite White
Wash Bronze corners with heavy watered Sybarite Green

Drybrush black base to lightgrey

The most is done with a tankbrush

Cheers,
Grey

Nice speedpainting. Impressive.

You are not going to use the bow and javelin holders on the sides?

@Jimmy: To long, but thats because this was the test-model and i had to wait a lot for the wash to dry. I wash heavaly so it takes a while. But in the future I will paint in larger numbers, so number 1 will dry when i do the other 49.

@Maglok: don't know yet. I need them for WYSIWYG, but i dislike the look of them. If i am going to use it, ill probably only use the bows, because they are holding their spears already.

Hello Folks,

Last post i said i was hoping for 6 chariots to be done, but I only managed 4.
But thats okay, because we are doing a painting challenge every month and to get there i only needed 3 chariots to paint...so 1 extra is awesome!

The last 2 are half done. And the quivers for the unit i am still working out if i want them, because i think they are ugly. And grass on the bases is something i am going to do at the end of my army (about 2400-2500pts)

But no further delay, here are the pictures (i hope you like them):

Nice work, love the alternating colour schemes. Any chance of some static grass on the bases to slightly liven them up?

Thats the plan, but need to find the right yellow tufts of grass for it.

Get rid of those mould lines mate! They stick out like dogs balls.

Loving the colour scheme though.

I bought these models from some1 painted and I inspected some and saw that there werent any moldlines. Should have inspected them all. Like 4-5 models have the lines tongue.gif (in the whole army though).

Maybe later tongue.gif

The bases and movement trays looks fantastic! I'm curious why you paint them black instead of desert-ish?

Really nice and crisp paint work there! The red and white paint scheme is refreshing and I love that you alternated the colours on Chariots. How did you paint the brown on the staff of the "Second Priest"?

Great work, especially on Khalida.

I like the different idea for the basing as well. smile.gif

Very clean mate, great contrast between the white bows and the dark bases. Sensational.

Lazyness, but worked out wonders for contrast tongue.gif

hmmm...That was such a hell to paint. Base Karak Stone and wash heavily with Agrax Earthshade.

I lined up all my painted models and it actually looks like an army. A very small army, but an army nonetheless.

Hmmm...I feel a title (and maybe sponsorship) coming up: The Coca Cola Tombkings.

Also sounds like a Bloodbowl team tongue.gif.
