So this is my first game with my painted Bretonnians

quick run through of the lists

Bretonnians

Bretonnian Lord with Barded Steed, Heroic Killing Blow, Heartwood Lance, Immunity to killing blow and a inflated ego
Bretonnian Lord on Hippogryph with Dragon Helm, Biting Blade and a phobia of snakes
BSB on Barded steed with a 1+ rerollable
Damsel with Lvl 2 Beasts and stubborn hairnet
Damsel with Lvl 2 Beasts and dispel Scroll
Paladin with challenge gear and balls of steel
12 KOTR with Warbanner and full com
12 Knights Errant with Errantry banner and full com
6 Knights Errant with full com
8 Questing Knights with +1 LD and Full Com
8 Grail Knights with +1 Movement and Full Com

Tomb Kings
Tombprince with minor defensive kit
Lvl 4 Death with D-Scroll
Lvl4 Lore of Tombkings with Earthing Rod
18 Archers with full com
4 Chariots with banner of flame
4 Chariots with Muso
5 Horse archers
38 Tomb Guard with full com, halberds and Equinophobia
3 Necro Knights with SB+Muso
Warsphinx
Casket of Souls
Screaming SKull with lazy crew

So it was basic battle line and I got greatly out deployed like I knew I would

I pray so he takes first

Tomb Kings 1
No charges and he just shuffles up a bit

Magic sees a 12 dice magic phase....

His death caster snipers my BSB with a Spirit Leech and all of a sudden I am in trouble

Caskets spell pops off and leaves a scar on my Questing Knights

He drops a Screaming Skull on my small Errant unit and they pass their panic check

Bretonnian Turn 1
No charges I just push forward

I move up my questing knights and Hippo lord thinking that the necro knights can not make the charge against my hippo lord

My magic phase sees a 2,1 and he channels so nothing happens

Tomb Kings Turn 2
His necro-knights charge my hippo-lord (oops) and he shuffles a little bit more forward

He gets another 12 dice magic phase but I manage to shut everything down.

His catapult fires and blows itself up

In combat I manage two wounds on the Necroknights and they blow through the hippo lord and run him down

Bretonnian Turn 2
My Grail Knights, KOTR and Errant all charge the Tomb Guard horde and the all make it. The smallers depleted errant also charges the horse archers

In the magic phase I get his scroll out and that is about it.

Combat my knights wreck the tombguard killing everything but the Lvl4. The little errants smash the horse archers

Tombkings Turn 3

His chariots charge my grail knights flank and other chariots charge my errants and I choose to save my banner points and flee off the board.
Rest of his army shuffles around

Magic he gets his third 12 dice magic phase and he drops the grailknights toughness to 1.

Combat his impact hits blow through the grail knights and he over-runs.

Bretonnian Turn 3
I charge my Errant into his bunker that his Hierophant as already left. I also swing my Questing knights around aimlessly

And guess what I roll for magic? Snake eyes!
And how it is looking after combat

I stick thanks to stubborn crown

Tombkings turn 4
He charges his warsphinx into my knights errant and I fail my terrortest and flee through the questing knights and a piece of impassable terrain. The Necro-Knights go into my stubborn damsels flank

Nothing happens in magic and in combat he kills my damsel and her loyal paladin flees but gets away.

Bretonnian Turn 4
All my units rally and that is about it

Tombkings Turn 5
He gets his charge order wrong and my Paladin manages to escape, inches from the board edge.

Bretonnian Turn 5.
The Paladin rallies and that is the game.

Tomb Kings win by 105 points.

Over all this was a fantastic game that I really should of lost. A few thoughts is that I really really REALLY need a Lvl4 and should drop the Hippo Lord.

Interesting read. Love the pictures, a little blurry at times but useful.

I am going to be fighting a lot of bretonia in my future, so it was fun to read this.

Thanks for taking the time to put up the report.

Well done for getting 3 lances charging into the Tomb Guard, shame on your opponent for letting it happen! He should have thrown out a purple sun or something to split the traffic up at least.

Interesting read. I'm especially surprised to see the grailknights die that fast only because fo their toughness. after all, they still had their 2+ save against the chariots no? In your opinion, did you need all three lances to obliterate the TG, or would 2 have been enough?

Nice battle report and I like how you added in things in the army list like and a big ego or has a phobia of snakes I had a good chuckle of that
And from what I could see your Bret's look nicely painted I love the uniform colour schemes for each unit it's how I've painted mine
