I was playing against Ogres and my opponent loves to deploy Gnoblars with the ability to force charging enemies take Dangerous Terrain tests (Trappers?) and try to put them in front of my Chariots. In this game, I charged the Gnoblars that were in a forest. My question is, is the number of DTs limited in any way like, for example, the Panic tests are? Do I have to take two sets of DTs against these Gnoblars, one for "regular" Dangerous Terrain and one for the Gnoblars' special ability?

I'm going to guess you might have to since if you had to charge through two forests you would test twice so having it on the same spot shouldn't alter it.

There's no limiting facter that I can find that limits the number of DT test you might have to take.

hmz, There's no rule limitting the nr of DT tests, like there is for panic tests. further, panictests seem to tak eplace at the end of the phase, while dangerous terrain simply happens when it happens. So I wound't draw any conclusions from panicrules about DT.

Further, try is from this perspective: If some of your cavalery ran into a tree, that doesn't mean the rest is suddenly imune to gnoblar-landmines...

lol sorry, I've been busy.

Dangerous Terrain
Main Rulebook, Page 117 First Paragraph
"Some areas of terrain are incredibly treacherous and present a very real risk to life and limb. When a model marches, charge, flees, overruns or pursues into or through an area of dangerous terrain, it is called upon to take a Dangerous Terrain test - roll a D6. On a 2 - 6, the model successfully negotiates the dangers of the terrain and reaches its destination safe and sound. If a 1 is rolled, however, the model has suffered a terrible mishap and suffers a wound with no armour save allowed."

Green Text - lol

There is no mention of one Dangerous Terrain test per phase.

You have two sources forcing a Dangerous Terrain test on you. 1.) Dangerous Terrain - you charged into or through it. 2.) the Gnoblars special ability. You must take a Dangerous Terrain test for each of those sources (as far as I can gather).

Thank you all, for the responses (especially AegisGray, for taking time from his busy schedule). I thought this was the case, but was hopeful I had missed something. Alas, that apparently was not the case. Well, shouldn't charge the Gnoblars in the forest in any case.

Yes you'd have multiple tests. Imagine charging through a wood with chariots, into some trapper gnoblars, winning the combat, then pursuing them through ANOTHER wood. That would be 3 Dangerous terrain tests!
