I now collect Dark Elves and want a second army. I've tried High Elves but they're too similar to Dark Elves so I want something a bit different. Could I get your views on the stengths and weknessess of the Tomb Kings as I am considering a number of different armies.

Well, you never ever flee or get broken, they'll have to kill every last skeleton. On the other hand you die aprox. twice as hard if you lose combat with your core units.

Everything causes fear, but everything is rather expensive (pointswise) because of this.

You can't march, but you have good magic.

Tomb Kings are the army that require the most skill and coordination, there is no room for faliure, if you have trouble managing a dark elf army and want a second army because of that then Tomb Kings are not for you, however, you sound like an acomplished general and so will probably like the challange that Tomb Kings will bring.

I don't really play Tomb Kings any more, I spend all my free time at woarl.com. It's a free turn based strategy/role playing game (yes really all those things). You should come and give it a try.

Hard to play but fun, generally if you get it right you get a white wash on your enemy (well in my experience) i don't get many battles where we draw really. Magic is good but hard to get off most of the time so choosing your items carefully is important. If you use them be prepared to lose them.

I am an acomplished general, having beaten everyone at my club with my Dark Elves I want a challenge. The Tomb Kings sound like the right army plus I like the Egyptian theme. I also like the look of a lot of the units, partculary the tomb guard. I've seen the stats on the core units and it looks like the skeletons are really weak, even the cavalry so I assume you have to have large blocks of infantry to win combat resolution. Therefore I think that after the storm of chaos campaign when I canget some money together I will begin collecting Tomb Kings. Does anyone reccomend the units I should buy first?

Depends on who you play cause if its a damn hard army (lizardmen for eg) then its best to use foot troops more than chariots incase of damn kroxigors.
