Basically this thread will have links to useful threads with advice on how to do various things for painting and modelling. To go with this I will start up a few new "definitive threads" on how to do things so we can link to them from here. I'll have to either convert them back to use the "invisionfree" address, or the problem need to be fixed somehow (outside of my controle for that).
