In my last battle we used 2 geysers, and I'd like share them...

geysers are treated as difficult terrain. Units can move over them, at their own risk. at the start of turn, a D6 is rolled. On a 4+ the geyser erupts, dealing 3D6 S4 hits with no armour saves allowed to any unit currently standing on it. (of course, if there aren't any units on it, there's no need to roll)

just a little extra terrain piece for your battles in vulcanic areas.

What size are they? Do you use a 40mm round base, such as the terminator base? or do you just use the small round template?

3d6 S4 I feel is a little on the high side but I totally agree with the no armour saves.

A: Constructive criticism - No one's right it's just their opinion
B: Proper full answers - don't just say it's rubbish, explain why (see A above)
C: Unrealistic lists - fun lists are all well and good but don't expect many comments unless you can prove you have the figures - you have how many Bone Giants?
D: Don’t expect a review of larger armies, as they have more slots available to them and more options available critiquing this kind of list is a somewhat mute point as there are too many variables and is usually done to personal opinion or army theme.
E: Taking criticism - Your opinion my differ from others, if you don't like it don't post your list for review. See A above.
F: Try not to state the obvious - we all know a chariot is pulled by a horse, don't waste space and list it - see Suggested format below.
Suggested format of your armies
Auto break is now 2 on 2d6 but will still be refered to as auto break, rule called "Insane Courage"
Rules book changed September 2006 - all army lists should be based on this not 6th Edn
I prefer troops to have a single role, archers shoot, warriors fight. Sponge units of archers IMO die too quickly I'd prefer hand weapons, light armour and shields, spears just aren't an option...

We used several without a fixed size. One was no larger then a coin, where another was as large as a CD. (conveniently enough they were represented by those exact same things tongue.gif )

Fair enough, 3d6 at S4 is better than most magic missiles that was the only reason I made comment.

I think as standard MM come in the following(ish)

3d6 S2
2d6 S3
1d6 S4

Maybe an idea to vary the power of the geyser (d3), I actually like this idea of geysers for special scenarios. Could prove a laugh

Going to see if I can convince my opponent to try them out in my next game. Sounds fun - and just as bad to both sides biggrin.gif

Actually, that really does sound like fun.

Not seen this thread before but I may just have to give that a try myself.

Kudos! biggrin.gif
