Title: Saiunkoku Season 2 ^0^

mingren - November 20, 2006 05:35 PM (GMT)
Good news! Saiunkoku season 2 has just been announced. It will be aired in April 2007, right after the end of season 1. *_* *_*

I know we haven’t been very productive lately on Saiun. Since it’s year end, Mier is busy with her work, and I’ve been busy preparing for my exams. Not to mention I’ll be on vacation for the most part of December. But we promise we’ll be back on full speed next year and bring more Saiun to you. B)

Thanks for your patient and support. ^_^

Mitzuki - November 20, 2006 07:09 PM (GMT)
So their are more episode's after the know 39? or is that season 2 included

mingren - November 20, 2006 07:26 PM (GMT)
It should be continue after the current 39 episodes of season 1. There are 12 novels have been published, 10 main books plus 2 books of side stories. The currently aired 27 episodes only cover book 1-4. At this rate, 39 will hardly cover the whole series. I’m so glad season 2 is coming out.

But the novel is still running and it doesn’t seem that it will end anytime soon either. :ph43r: I wonder if anime will have original ending in season 2.

Mitzuki - November 20, 2006 09:22 PM (GMT)
I really hope so but alot of Books continue next to the series so i hope they will release all the books instead of remaking the ending

amenishi - November 22, 2006 11:18 AM (GMT)
<3 That's a good news! I'm So happy about 2nd season. But wouldn't it be awsome if they announced 3rd season and ova?
-_-

Ryuuki - November 23, 2006 01:31 PM (GMT)
Yes yes it should not end!! ^_^

i think there will be 3 seasons but that depends on the number of epi's in season 2. If 39 epi's are 1-4 then there sould be a 5-8 and 8-10+2books XD thats 3 seasons of 39 epi's

but that if they show everything according to the books.

wolfmier - November 24, 2006 11:57 PM (GMT)
OMG!!!!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3
THIS IS THE BEST NEWS TO COME BACK TO!!!!

Yeah, uh.. sorry about the delay guys. Feel free to direct the blame towards me since I had to take some unexpected time off subbing *cowers*. But I am so happy that Saiun will be continuing. I pledge my full commitment to this series and seeing it through, no matter how long it takes!

I was just thinking the other day, this series doesn't seem to be heading towards any conclusive ending, so this is a huge relief! I'm sure Shuurei's harem will only continue to grow bigger and bigger, LOL!

Anyway, this is suuuuch great news. It's totally made my day! :D

(and omg, the new smilies are awesome! thanks ming~~~ :sing: )

AngelLily - November 25, 2006 08:04 PM (GMT)
As much as I love Saiun, series that drag out for too long are just bad ^^;; I hope it doesn't end up like that.

But truly, a second season will be great ^^

taiyoukai - November 28, 2006 08:27 PM (GMT)
I am sliiiightly confused. Does this mean this project is on temp hiatus till next year?

BTW, the two : huh : emoticons are different with the same..code word?

wolfmier - November 28, 2006 11:12 PM (GMT)
No, it means that I'm catching up on the few eps that were in progress before I had to take the break, and will be working on more eps which are in the production line while ming is away over christmas. The project is not on hiatus. There is a lot of material yet to be worked on, but due to commitments like my job, I'm not free to work on them as much as I'd like right now. Anyway, things are getting done slowly, so please be patient. ^^;

taiyoukai - November 29, 2006 07:33 PM (GMT)
aaah~ I wasn't trying to sound like a bitch. Hahaha, take your time. I was just wondering what the previous entries meant. And since I love your releases, I'm not about to find releases done by other groups. ^_^

Go Kiss~!! <3

Yurichan79 - January 2, 2007 12:18 AM (GMT)
I know I am still sitting here waiting. I need Saiunkoku. IT is really good and I have problems waiting for a great anime.

wolfmier - January 2, 2007 12:27 PM (GMT)
This really pisses me off after the unholy amount of work I personally put into our current fiasco of a release which is still struggling to even make it through encode. And if your use of the word "still" is in reference to the previous post dated Nov 30, we have in fact released 2 episodes since then.

Anyway, if you are looking for reasons why we haven't released anything lately,

1. The "x-mas" release is having massive encoding problems. If you are an AFX expert, please feel free to step in and resolve them so that Oro and I can stop pulling our hair out.

2. Ming is away over the xmas period, and has basically no internet access, which has temporarily halted translation.

3. Our Saiun team is only made up of 3 people - read those credits and think about just how much work that involves for each individual. I nearly killed myself over the last release, and considering the fact that next to no one downloads our version anyway, I can't help but feel that if even giving it my best isn't enough, I really shouldn't put mself through so much heartache over it.

Yes, I know we are behind, but to be honest, I personally consider these releases an expression of how much this project means to me - not just the show itself, but the wonderful team who have put so much of themselves into working on every single episode. Since I LOVE Saiun more than I can express, I am not prepared to lower myself to releasing ugly, poorly timed, translation error-riddled episodes just because some people aren't content to wait.

Ming, Oro and I are subbing Saiun purely because we love it, and we will continue to put everything we've got into it for that reason alone. If that's not good enough, feel free to download Suck or SD's versions instead.

usagi_chan - January 2, 2007 03:04 PM (GMT)
Wolfmier, please don't mind Yurichan79. He is unaware of how much work is needed to sub an anime. You guys do a tremenduos job, so I BEG you, don't stop. I also love saiunkoku and your sub is the best, and it's more than worth the waiting(which isn't that long, considering the number of people working on it and the holiday period).
About the number of people who download your version, there are plenty, and all appreciate it and are grateful for your efforts.
Keep up the good work and don't forget, we love Kiss and Saiunkoku!!!!! <3

To Yurichan79: <_< In stead of just sitting and complaining, help the sub team or SHUT UP. And mind that attitude of yours, don't be so bosy. (a friendly advice)

LC1984 - January 2, 2007 06:36 PM (GMT)
Hmm, how should I say this. You are doing a great job with a great show, and IMHO your sub is the best which is avaible. So I will never mind to wait, and I will try to help, whereever I am able to. (Which does not include technical help  because I have not even a little knowledge about it  )
So take all the time you need, I think most will wait patiently. <_< :ph43r: <3
or something like this. :D

PS: Sorry for the bad spelling, I hope I could express myself in the right way :weep:

AngelLily - January 2, 2007 08:21 PM (GMT)
Erm hmm just a small bit of my mind, all the guy did was say he was waiting. I work at a fansub too and I know that it has its irkys, but also as an anime lover, waiting is a problem. Just a small bit of information is enough, and I'd suggest just some little patience, because just as we have patience with you, you have to have patience with us ^^;;;;;

wolfmier - January 2, 2007 10:54 PM (GMT)
Ok, I believe I am quite a reasonable person, and not excessively impatient, but the basic reasons for the delay were already explained in this thread. To me, continuing to make comments like "I'm still sitting here waiting" is just antagonising. Besides being wrong (we did release two eps between the last post and Yurichan79's), it is pretty upsetting. Maybe I am just feeling extra sensitive after having to go over and over the problems with the "x-mas release" since, well, before x-mas. Clearly Yurichan79 wants to see more eps, but there are more eps available from the other groups if she is really that desperate. We are not doing a speed-sub for Saiun, and never have, nevertheless we are doing our best to get it out within reasonable time - what more can we do?

I do stand by our policy that we accept any feedback or queries here at the forum, and also that everyone is free to ask when to expect releases, but when doing so I would reccomend that people put some thought into what they say - as people have many times before. As always, I will give the exact reasons why a release is delayed (as I did in previous posts, as well as my response post). Please remember though, just as everyone has the right to vent their frustration at having to wait, I also have the right to rant about how I too am frustrated not being able to release, and that having that fact rubbed in my face is not helpful.

 So yeah, in future, please ask nicely and don't make antagonising comments unless you really want to read a ranty response.

MoonChild - January 28, 2007 05:56 PM (GMT)
Please don't listen to people who are impatient for the next episode. Also, despite "next to no one" downloading this version, I can tell you from experience that your version is the best version there is. I've viewed We Suck subs and Shadow Dreams subs, and yours is the best by far. I can tell how much extra time goes into making the subtitles fit right in with the anime, especially in the opening credits and whenever there is writing in the episode, when you match the colours and sizes. Also, I find your translation to be the most accurate. How can I thank you enough for working so hard on this? Of course I'm eager for the next episodes, as everyone is, but I'm glad you're putting the extra time into making this a truly excellent fansub. Thank you thank you thank you!
Sabrina

reslez - February 1, 2007 04:57 AM (GMT)
Your sub is the best by far. I was so excited to see you had subbed the first Sekai! Good luck to you all and thank you for your hard work.

rayearth0606 - February 14, 2007 03:31 PM (GMT)
Hey! When are you going to do a new release!!!!

IM DESPERATE!!!!!!

Thanks for your subs!!! They're the best!!!!!!

mingren - February 14, 2007 06:41 PM (GMT)
Thanks for your support. ^_^

We are actively working on it and the next release will be coming very soon.

dollssoulkirie - February 22, 2007 03:08 AM (GMT)
Yay~ I can't wait! A second season to Saiun!

I luff you guys, KissSub! From the three subbers that I've downloaded so far, you're the best! I'm enjoying the your translations more than SD & We Suck's. Plus, the terminology that you use are great~ And the translations of the episode titles are quite useful!

I wish I could help you with Saiun... but I suck with anything that's related to computers and such. lol, I'm just good at writing stories. :ph43r:

I can't wait to see your future releases~ <3 They're the best!

Inujun - March 3, 2007 05:06 AM (GMT)
Next to no one downloads your subs? no way, there are plenty of distro bots on irc and torrents everywhere on the web, I for example download from some random distro bot on another channel (so I don't have to queue), and I see a lot of downloads as well!
So don't worry, many out there DO download your subs, they are the best of the lot

usagi_chan - March 21, 2007 09:23 PM (GMT)
YEY! I can't wait for more saiunkoku from you guys. I know that with all the projects you're having now you're pretty busy, but please continue saiunkoku! Your version is the best and I don't intend to get this series from anyone else, because once I saw your sub, anything else is sooo inferior!!! Kore kara mo ganbatte kudasai! A grateful fan <3  ^_^

x91 - March 31, 2007 10:51 AM (GMT)
I agree with usagi chan, i really love your saiun releases and wont settle for other fansubs, so please keep fan subbin this amazing anime. I love your releases so i wont mind waiting a little longer :ahh:

Eruanna - April 6, 2007 06:16 AM (GMT)
I have a question!
I have searched the web, and I cannot find any information on a second season! Anime News Network has got nothing on it. The only places that even mention it are fansub forums like this one.
So could someone clue me in, pretty please? :P
Thanks for subbing it by the way. You guys are doing an awsome job.
Also, this is my first post, been a lurker for a while up till now. ^_^
Also also, I am pretty much in love with your emoticons/smilies. *_*

nerdgeek - April 14, 2007 06:07 PM (GMT)
I was going to start a new thread - but I just want to say how much I appreciate your excellent work on this & very well done!!!!! The subs are literate & informed, the explanations are concise & relevant & I REALLY like the little panel at the end when something is explained that is core to that episode.

This is the first historical series I've really loved since Juuni Kokki.

Thanks for a professional piece of work & if you need any proofreading - pm me - I am literate & have done this work before.

Joined this forum in order to make my appreciation clear.

Regards,
Nico M

bobby6 - April 20, 2007 05:09 PM (GMT)
Hi I just wanted to say from a fellow fansubber that I completely agree that your version of Saiunkoku is the best. I have watched episodes from all 3 groups and yours would most certainly be the one I'd collect. I can tell how much effort you put into it, so keep up the good work! ^_^

silverygit - April 21, 2007 11:01 PM (GMT)
I'm so happy to hear there's a second season!!!! <3

hehehe Good luck on the translations and may the evil apples be with you all!

:ph43r: I don't know where that came from though..my mind is being weird! :3;;;

I would like to add that the complete series torrent at BoxTorrents has all your files as far as you got - and since both other groups had got further - this means that YOUR subs were preferred, & here are the stats:
Hits 1743
Snatched 783

So add another 783 there & Lord knows how many times it been taken on other trackers . It's not top-10 but it's got a solid fanbase & so do you!

saigo n0 kisu wa - May 4, 2007 10:59 PM (GMT)
okay so like i just started watching this too cause it seems to be pretty popular, and from what i've seen so far its great. i like the whole traditional japanese theme. :] but like. how many episodes are there exactly? and are we in season 2 now? or is it going to come up later? i'm confused on this and i don't want to miss out on any of the episodes.

thanks for listening,
nik.

Ezeer - May 5, 2007 08:15 AM (GMT)
Saiunkoku has 39 eps for the first season. ^_^ I dunno how many will there be in the 2nd season though.

I also have a question: Are you guys going to keep on subbing this? All the others groups have halted their Saiun projects since Geneon has licensed the series. (At least that's what it says on ANN.com)

I love this series and it seems no one is gonna continue this

bobby6 - May 5, 2007 07:03 PM (GMT)
I also would like to know if you plan to continue with the project, or if you plan to continue with just season 2 (if only season 1 has been licensed so far and not the entire series.) Both other groups have backed out so I'd very much like to know what yuor group is planning to do
