New Series Suggestions

Hahaha I signed up and read that. That's pretty funny. Even with a limited understanding of what was going on, I don't exactly think that was the guys plan. I didn't realize there was a sequal. I'll have to try looking for it.

Ok, atm we need some suggestions for current anime shorts - as in movies or short 2-3ep ova's (no hentai please, lol!). Don't worry, we will be taking on new series in the new season, but we want to fill up the little gap between when Jyu and PP finish, and when the new season shows start airing. I'll stress current again here since older movies are hard to find raws for. Any sugestions are welcome! Personally I'd prefer to do a movie, but let's see what you guys can come up with...

I'd like to make a suggestion for a future project, though it's probably one you'd want to team up with another fansubbing group for. Also, it's probably not the kind of thing you're looking to pick up. I thought I'd give you my thoughts on it in any case though.

"Princess Princess DORAMA," starring Kamakari Kenta. That is, the LIVE ACTION version of "Princess Princess," a series you're currently working on with aarinfantasy. I think it would be a smart move to work on the anime series and the live action series, but that might just be me.

Also, Kamakari Kenta played Shishido Ryou in the "Prince of Tennis Musical: The Imperial Match, Dream Live 3rd and Advancement Match," making him quite large in the Prince of Tennis fandom, so you won't be short on seeders/leechers. I know quite a few people who are hoping someone, anyone, will take this project on.

Kenken as a main character, who crossdresses? Yeah, that's required downloading right there. =)

However, most Live Action series episodes are an hour long instead of half an hour, and usually stretch nine episodes, sometimes eleven. I don't know Japanese, so I'm not sure on all the details. The series starts running on June 28th, if I'm not mistaken.

I fell in love with two of KissSub most recent released anime, Jyu-Oh-Sei and Princess Princess, though I didn't want to watch Princess Princess's last episode. Didn't want it to end just yet. Though, I felt that Jyo-Oh-Sei would have been even better, then it already was, if it was longer. After a while I came across Kirarin Revolution, which I also fell in love with. When I finshed watching Full Moon wo Sagashite and Kodomo no Omocha, I was dying for another cute idol love. I wanted to ask KissSub, who did two of my most favorite anime, to fansub it. If some time could be made for it. I took some summaries from some sites and I listed them below.


Kirari Tsukishima is a beautiful, 14-year-old girl whose only interest is food. This changes, however, after she encounters and falls in love with Seiji Hiwatari of SHIPS, a popular idol group. In order to be with him, she aspires to be an idol. With the help of SHIPS - the gentle Seiji and the bad-mouth Hiroto Kazama – as well as her cat mascot Na-san, her family and her friends, Kirari pursues the world of idols, where she discovers that being popular is not all fun and games, and that in order to persevere in both her love and her career, she must endure and overcome many hardships and challenges.

And she has a little mascot animal that rides around on her head (nobody seems to take much notice) and has the means to defend her from danger. Kirari herself is a nice combination of gluttonous child, bold heroine, and pretty idol.

It is a very cute and funny shoujo anime that I think alot of people would like. I hope everyone or aleast mostly everyone will agree with me on this, because I think alot of people would really like it if KissSub could fansub Kirarin Revolution. Thank you for reading my post.

Haha, I have been plugging for this anime since it first came out - I'm still even collecting the raws just in case. However, ming and the others were not so keen on doing it, so alas it is not something we'll be looking at picking up in the immediate future. I will continue to collect the raws though, just in case...

also, I think another group just started subbing it recently. you should check out their release. ^^

It's a movie called Brave Story and the info is taken from Anime News Network:

When 10 year old Wataru's father leaves home and his mother is taken ill to hospital, he decides to change his fate by travelling through the door shown to him by his friend Mitsuru. In a land of magic and monsters, Wataru must summon all his courage and embark on a journey with several comrades to meet the Goddess of Destiny and change this "mistaken fate".

The official Japanese movie site can be visited here. So far, no American companies have licenced it (*is hoping that it would not be anytime soon* >_<) and only the novel is licenced by Viz. This movie looks very promising though. ^^

I 2nd that, I agree that Demonbane (2006) would be a good series to take on, also YesY has dropped the series and they were the only english fansub group doing it so currently there are no english fansub groups working on it.

Hmm, I dl'd the first two eps but neglected to watch them since it wasn't continued. I'll have to check out the 1st one just to see if it's worth my recommendation. Not to mention I still need to watch the stuff Kiss is putting out now :)
