I love your subbing work!
I saw Honey x Honey and I loved it... And for suggestions... hehe... Well I dont really know if this is a really new series or anything... but it would be great if there was another group that would pick up Tale of Saiunkoku (http://animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=6200) this series is soo good! But theres only two groups doing it and one is at 9 and one still on ep 1. I love their work especially We-Suck who have subbed up to nine its just their a little slow...
It would be great if another group took the series on as a project :D

I like the series too but I don't think We Suck is doing a bad job. They did very well with Karin, and this one isn't quite as good but still not too bad. :)

OMG, you guys are so on my wavelength!! I was just talking about that series with someone today, LOL. I'm a huge fan of historical/samurai anime. We haven't really been thinking about new series atm, since we have a lot on our plate, but personally, I would definitely be interested in doing a show in this genre if we're not too bogged down with other projects, and if we have a tl'er willing to do it.

If it's like Berserk... IM ALL IN. I love past stories like kenshin and stuff. Swordsfighting is my favorite style anime and if it has a great story too, even better :D

Beserk was sick. Really. If you think otherwise then there is something wrong with you... Manga was even worse then anime. And anime was really screwed up, aprt form the sick parts the consistency.... um the lack of constancy was terrible. And what the hall was the first ep about.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all in for sword fights. I'm probably biggest sword fan when it comes to swords then any of you around. Though I believe medieval swords are quite useless [obsolete xD], epically the big ones... But I love Japanese swords. Especially those a bit longer then standard katana, say 2,55 shaku, with a bit longer handle [say around 0,9 shaku] for batter cutting performance xD Yes, yes I do own swords... my cute forged Aruku, iaito for dojo training [they won't let me with Aruku T_T] 3 bokkens one medieval sword that goes by the name of Luciendar... A very nice knife made tanto style, but shorter then tanto and so on xD
Btw - any idea what to practice tameshigiri on? Wood - bad idea, it stains the blade badly. And I can't afford bamboo >_< Perhaps somebody would like to volunteer...
Anyhow, back to the topic - if it has good swordfighting count me in. But there's little anime with good swordfighting >_> It's usually "I have this super duper cut that is impossible to make but kills 100 people at once. It wont be drawn b/c it is to fast to see, so yeah imagine it" and the swordfigitng ends... >_>
But if it has demons with tentacles raping main female characters count me out >_>

That's cool to see someone else into swords. You'd be surprised at the damage a well made claymore or broad sword can do. You have to remember they're more made for forcing their way through heavy armor than delicately cutting through flesh and maybe some light armor like most Japanese swords. As far as cleaning a tarnish resistant non abraisive metal paste will work fine but try to find som choji clove oil. That'll be best for your normal spring steel. Oh, and for tameshigiri, expensive or not shoots are your best bet. Wood is too hard and the bamboo-like shoots you find by rivers here in the US have way too much water in them, they'll rust a carbon steel sword almost as fast as blood. If you could find like a real thin hollow balsa wood rod maybe that would work but it'd probably be more expensive than what you're looking for. Honestly unless you compete, just practice as much as you can with your bokken. Form is good, but reactions are just as important. :)

I have a high possibility that some groups are going to sub this anime in the near future, but I was probably suggesting the anime, D.Gray-Man. It premieres on October 3rd.
Hope this isn't too much as it is just a suggestion.
First of all, I'd like to say thanks for being so open to suggestions. Here's my personal wish list of anime which you might consider subbing from where others left off... It does not really matter what series you decide to sub or not to sub, it's just great that you're willing to listen to us.
Detective Conan TV series Black Jack Black Jack 21 Kyou Kara Maou Saiyuki Reload Gunlock Angel Heart Prince of Tennis Zenkoku Taikai OVA Konjiki no Gash Bell
Please feel free to ask me if you wish to know more about any of the series, I will be most happy to tell you what they are about and what I like about them.
I understand that you were looking at new shows only because it is difficult to get the raws of older shows. If you need the raws, I already have some and am trying to get the rest rite now. Please feel free to let me know.
Btw thanks for picking up Saiunkoku. It's become one of my all time favs.
