New Series Suggestions

Any ideas on new series you'd like to see our group start subbing? Please feel free to suggest any series. Projects will of course be chosen at the group's discretion, but we will consider and respond to any suggestions.

How about The Third ~Aoi Hitomi no Shoujo~:
I really like what you have done with Jyu Oh Sei (amazing stuff so far), so why not a change of settings..from a deadly plant planet to a desert planet.

I also suggest Witchblade
My favourite comic series and I don't see many groups subbing this one, which is a shame. I'm sure you'd do an amazing job

Thanks for your input Khilandros - and welcome to the forum! I'm really glad you're enjoying our version of Jyu, it's so nice to get some positive feedback ! (oh wow, these new smilies are something, arent they! lol) Anyway, we'll definitely look into it. I haven't heard much about Witchblade, so I'll go check it out!

I would like to add Demonbane - it looks promising, has pretty nice art and isn't subbed by many. As for the older shows - I could mention few of them, but I don't think you should take them for now. About Witchblade\The Third - you would have pretty tough subbing 'competitors', but if you think it's worth a try - it's your choice...

I'd also like to bring up Saiunkoku Monogatari, which you can look it up here. Not many groups are subbing this, and you guys are excellent with your Jyu Oh Sei releases that I couldn't help bringing up this suggestion to see if you guys are interested. It's not bishounen harem for girls, nor is it shoujo, but it's a political show aimed for older women, so thankfully, there's no irritating shoujo heroines... only a lovable one.

Hi fllay^^ Thanks for the suggestion. Actually, we've thought about Saiunkoku Monogatari before, but beside it's a bit hard to translate since it has heaps of culture related stuff in it, English speakers might not like this kind of animes. Ayu's currently subbing it.

I have a couple of suggestions for upcoming animes. The URLS are at AniDB:

Flag - Set to begin on June 16. I'm not sure if it will be a mecha or a wartime drama, but it looks good.

Le Chevalier D`Eon - Set to begin July 2. Production IG. I'm sort of wondering how this one can fail - Or suck at all.

I'd also love to see more than one group sub Black Lagoon into English.

Might not be something you guys would like but I'd appreciate seeing AMG! Sorezore no Tsubasa. I'd Love to see more of this but Yuki and One are taking forever. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that they've been doing it, but they keep insisting that the problems they've been having aren't slowing down AMG! and they aren't willing to discuss what is wrong, or what they need help with. It'd be great to see someone a little more "forgiving" take this on and concern themselves less with widescreen format and more with accurate, timely translations. Thank you for your time!

I totally agree, Smuffy, it's a shame that this is the way of fansubs these days. Sorry to hear that a show you enjoy watching is having this kind of trouble. It's really important to us to keep the chanels of communication open with fans, so that they know whats going on.


Well, the situation with KissSub at the moment is, we've stuck to our guns and managed to keep our releases coming out on a timely schedule. The lovely girls who look after our tl's are a little busy with our current shows at the moment (yes, they too have exams and other commitments, but you'll never hear them using that as an excuse, lol!), so we're looking at taking on some extra tl staff to take the pressure off them a little. That being the case, we aren't really looking at taking on any more shows until the new season starts early next month. By then we'll have a little more lee-way (and staff, hehe) to start looking at other shows besides our priority projects.

We've got a lot of interesting projects in mind, and some wonderful, wonderful support from our friends in the fansub community who will be helping us bring you even more exciting new shows! Hopefully we'll be announcing our new projects soon look forward to that ^^

Hey, my bad for not examining the thread more carefully. It was late and the whole schedule thing kind of skipped right by me. If you guys are taking ideas for shorter series' there's one I saw a while back called Yesterday Once More. It seemed decent, only 4 eps long, but I couldn't understand a lot of it because the grammar was rather poor. It's an older series(pre-computer animation) so it's just sitting around waiting for some Love.

And regardless of what is picked up next, thanks for taking the time to examine and reply. A lot of groups out now are either overbearing, not willing to talk to anyone who can't properly scribe 5000 different ideographs, or they let everyone run wild and basically avoid their own forums. So it's refreshing to see a group actually take the time to reply and get a long with everyone.

As for AMG! They did finally release ep 5 today like 2 months after ep 4 but it's here! So I'll be blissfully happy for at least 30 minutes! :D

No no, not at all; any suggestions are worth taking the time to make. Glad AMG is back on track for now (although who knows for how long these days, lol!).

Your suggestion about Yesterday Once More sounds ineresting. Personally I haven't heard of this series, but since it's a short I'm going to have a look into it now and see if it's something we might be interested in doing. I think I mentioned it before in this thread, but the problems we face when looking at subbing old series is finding raws >.<, but I was talking to ming earlier about ripping raws from dvd's - there are a lot of HK DVD stores around here, where I can pick up an old series (as a raw source) if it's worth investing money in. I'll let you know how it goes...



Edit: Lol, ok, very funny - you got me ^^. I looked it up and it's apparently a hentai OVA. Not that I have anything against hentai, but I don't think we'll be subbing any... and if we do, I vote for yaoi, lol.

You guys could finish up the Zipang series which the jackasses at digitalpanic take months to release an ep... But then again, that series has already finished airing, so you probably wouldn't wanna take it.

But if you're bored, then by all means. You'd make me happy

PS: this has nothing to do with you and Jyu at all... I'm just browsing around here while I download Jyu9. I saw this topic so I figured I'd make another hopeless attempt to get that series finished =(

Ugh! I keep losing my posts. Haha anyways, I basically wrote that I didn't really think it was Hentai but I guess if you use the term loosely. Unless whoever subbed it edited it out, there's no nudity and no animation of the actual "act". More like a girl and guy kiss, then wake up the next morening kinda thing. I have the episodes even if you just want to watch. I think the torrents are pretty easy to get ahold of too.

@Smuffy, LOL! Well, I didn't actually see the show, but AniDB lists it as a Hentai. I was gonna copy and paste the blurb here, but I thought I'd better not, lol. It was all fine until the last line of the blurb, hahah!

@Sesshu, I think both groups that are doing School Rumble 2nd and Black Lagoon are doing pretty well at keeping up release speed and quality, so even though most of us like both shows, there isn't much point in us picking them up and getting hammered by all the Shinsen and Wannabe Fansub fans, lol! For the amount of work it would take, having that happen would just be depressing ^^;
