Do you have any suggestions for me to make LOTR a better place for you guys?

Any new sections/forums you'd like?

Add a reply here or make your own topic/thread about it and I'll get to it ASAP.

--Thanks,
Vanessa

Would you be able to turn on Quick Reply? I love me some Quick Reply.

I don't know if it's current or not but I found this when I Googled it:

1. In your Admin CP, click Manage Forums.
2. Choose Settings for the forum that you want to change.
3. In the last section, change Use Quick Reply box? to Yes.
4. You will have to do this for each forum for which you wish to use quick reply.

Never mind. It's called Fast Reply and all I had to do was look and it was already enabled. Duh.

Haha, yeah.

When I was fixing up the settings for each of the sections I definitely turned it on.
I love me some quick/fast reply too wink.gif

Anything else, just say so. smile.gif

Could we have a Games section?

Just the usual Word Association, Finish The Sentence, and stuff like that.

I'm cursed with some wicked ADD. cool.gif

That seems cool.

Another one I like is "I like the person above me because...."

Do you think there'll be enough topics to make a whole new section or is it better to do it on General Talk?

This forum's great! One thing that comes to mind is it might be nice if flood control wasn't as stringent...waiting 30 seconds after each post feels REALLY long...LOL

What do you mean? I'm kinda new at this so maybe I don't know all the terms and whatnot.

It makes you wait 30 seconds to post?

Yeah, if you try to post something too soon after your last post then it tells you that it has to be 30 seconds after your last post before you can make a new one.

I have some section ideas, but if you think it should just go in the General Talk section, just say so biggrin.gif

1. Anything Important. Not really sure what to call it, but it'd be like... news, politics, current events, etc.

2. Music. 'Nuff said.

I have an idea for the games section. (I haven't figurered out if I'm allowed to post a new topic there or not, but I want to pass the idea through you first.) Like The Song Game (or you can pick a new, totally creative idea that I can't think of, haha).

The first person puts lyrics to a song (not the whole song, just a verse, chorus, or bridge, or whatever they want) and the next person has to figure out what song it is and then post another one.

hope.

I know how to lower/get rid of it. I was once in Admin and I once had my own Invisionfree board. However, I now have a Zeta board and I don't think I could explain it to you. Sorry. sad.gif

I think you're allowed to post your own topic, Hope, and I think the Song Game is a good idea... although to be honest I've never gotten into it, but I know a lot of other people have.

I'll start it biggrin.gif

Thanks, Chelsie. I wasn't sure... every time I tried to post a New Topic it came up with the floodcontrol thing, so I didn't know if it was me being too fast trying to post or me not being able to post at all. haha.

Of course you could've started a new thread Hope.

I don't know this flood control thing? I'll check the options on the Admin CP but I haven't seen anything about it there.

It would be cool if this board had more forums. Not sure what they could be, but...
