Some One Dropped The Ball...., Complaint about storyline

I own MGA and MGA2. At the end of MGA you manage to escape with your partner. In MGA2 they say you were killed at the island for MGA. Someone really messed up the storylines bad on those games.

but , in mgs2 sol, you seem to be told you (solid snake) died on a tanker 2 years ago!, but who shows up during the murder scene with vamp?

Yeah, but later on Otacon tells you that they used Liquids body and staged Solid's death at the tanker. Can't remember much more than that cause I've not played the actual game for along time now.
