Title: So I'm back,

Iga - January 23, 2010 01:19 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I thought I’d drop in and see what’s happening with everyone these days. And I’m sure that everyone here has been sitting on pins and needles wondering whatever happened to everyone’s favorite monkey man/tree stump. So I feel like re-introducing myself with a quick summary of what I’ve been up to since I came here last, partly because I’ll find it therapeutic and partly for those who don’t know who the hell I am.

I showed up on the team scene as both Buster Rod G. and Woodman sometime in June of ‘06, right near the end of the scene’s zenith if I remember correctly. Still I remained, made some good friendships that I still treasure; then sometime in 2008 some, shall we say, “scandalous” events took place amongst the whole of the scene, dividing the unity I enjoyed so much. It all became far too depressing for me and due to the emotional stress I had to leave.

Right about that time, I had met a new internet friend on another forum who started getting me into metal music. It took me some time to really wrap my ears around it, but now I’m passionate about death metal and have been more devoted to my musical practice as a result (incidentally, hit me up if you ever want to talk death metal).

When fall of ’09 came around, that was my senior year of high school, so I got myself through all that bullshit pretty alright. My dad’s four-year battle with cancer had been progressively worsening, however, which had greatly affected me emotionally during that school year, so my life wasn’t without its challenges. On July 24th, 2009, my father passed away. But don’t feel bad for me, he was ready to go. He was done with being sick, and I actually feel very happy and relieved for him, knowing that he’s not in pain anymore.

Anywho, in August ’09 I started my freshman year of college at Northwest Missouri State University, which is where I am right now. So your favorite Iga is currently a second-semester freshman with a major in Psychology and a minor in English; music is my truest passion, but I figure I don’t need a piece of paper to tell me I can play music; and I still love Megaman and video games in general (though I have become a little critical of this current generation), I just haven’t really had the time to play any games in so long. I thought I’d poke my head back here because it’s been a really long time and I was actually sorta wondering how everyone else has been faring these days.

So how are you?

(Forgive me if this isn't a valid thread to be put in this particular forum. It just seemed a bit odd for me to put this thread in the "general" section, and I remember this forum as "Blatant Self-Promotion" when that was what it was back then. I also felt this would be proper as its own thread separate from the normal introduction thread because of its subject matter, but I think the ultimate decision is up to the staff. So please, if you don't like this here, move it wherever you want it to go, haha.)

This forum is more Rich's personal soapbox, but he can decide to move your thread if he wishes. This forum is more like "general discussion modded by Rich" wich is similar to "general discussion modded by gauntlet" except there's more guns and less Transformers.

The BSP forum no longer exists. Actually, the spambots which once pestered this place have completely died out since then, which makes me think it attracted them in the first place. FYI: ads strictly go in sigs now.

I'm doing well. The site's doing well too. Recently integrated Blogger .... which nobody but me seems impressed with for some reason. Also did some flash vids. Rl is well too, but uneventful. Recently dedicated time to formatting comic pages from muy Kids Stuff series .... which is almost done now! Third time's the charm, I guess. Four more issues and it'll all be on the computor, in the right size, and ready for word baloon insertion! Which will likely take another year and a half. BOO!
