Basically, dress up like its the 1920s and run a shooting obstacle course with a fairly loose set of rules.

To me, that's some of the purest fun you can have with guns. Friendly competition with a loose atmosphere.

I mentioned this earlier, but the Zoot Shooter idea inspired a similar idea of mine, combining the idea of a war renactor with a shooting competition. My idea would be based on the Vietnam War era, and the obstacle course would have stuff like mud pits and thick foliage to cut through. Probably be pretty demanding physically, but would be a lot of fun.

Any time I can participate in something that makes the shooting sports more fun and approachable is something I want to be a part of.

You know, It's funny you mention this as I was researching War games.
Seriously, with all the tension that's going on, I really think that declaring a "virtual war", knocking all the economies into weaponry overdrive I.E. converting Rifles into Simulitions, Taking old warhead and converting them from Explosives to I.R. Signals to trigger 'hit' signals, enlisting a few draftee's and "killing" each other would really blow off some steam and make a few bonds between countries that were weak or weren't there before. Not to mention people would learn about the countries they are 'fighting' while they do it.

Of course, it would never work, but hey.
