Things that make me mad., Read and relate! WARNING: Very verbose.

Well this is a new thing to me, finding a forum that actually has a ranting section. Brilliant idea really. It's good for people to get things off their chest some way or another. So here's my rantings of utter rage. Things that make me mad, various levels of it.

1.> Japan-Only Releases.
This is sort of two-way. I don't care if a cruddy game doesn't get localized, but when good games are all over the place in Japan, and it doesn't dawn on the developers that hey, maybe another country full of obsessive fans will generate even greater profits! What makes me mad about this is the fact that so many games have been ignored for American release, or even European. Things like Final Fantasy Dissidia, The Wonderswan Color version of Mega Man Battle Network that was like a classic Mega Man game, Tomato Adventure, the Wonderswan Color game "Makai Toushi SaGa" (which was basically a upgraded version of Final Fantasy Legend), and Klonoa Heroes. These are just some of the games I think would do well in America, as I certainly would buy them, or rent them, depending on circumstances. Of course there are the honorable people who try to make fan translations of games, but usually they don't come through (I'm still waiting on the fan translation of Tomato Adventure). Now Japan Only Releases don't plague just games, it also hinders movies, like the Great Yokai War (As far as I know it hasn't had an American release), various anime films, and heck, even entire shows that would obviously do well in America. I don't know about Europe because I don't know about their tastes. Maybe someone here does. Well anyway, Japan Only Releases irritate me beyond belief.

2.> People who use chat-speak like it's their native language.
THIS is REALLY annoying. I'm an avid chatmonger and roleplayer, and sometimes one of my friends will invite someone to join us that they know in person more than they do online, and this will happen. In my book, it's like acting like a retard when you're not retarded. It's stupid, annoying, and horrendously popular unfortunately.

3.> Fade-In advertisements and others.
Agh, these things are sickeningly on the rise. Fade-In advertisements are those accursed things that slowly appear over the page you're visiting and often cause you to accidentally click whatever crap they're advertising, spawning an unwanted window or tab that will most likely give you some sort of computer problem just by existing. Another type of advertisement that really gets on my nerves are the ones that have scripted alert windows. The ones that, when you try to close the page, say 'Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?' and provide a choice of 'OK' or 'Cancel'. If we click the little X in the corner, it means we don't want your stupid garbage. The next annoying ones are the pop-under advertisements. These blasted things bypass the pop-up blocker and will often have some distracting thing on it. Finally, the last ones I can think of the moment are advertisements with sound, whether you mouse over or not. These are incredibly irritating, mainly because when I encounter them, I'm either watching a video in another window or listening to music. They disrupt whatever's going on and ruin the whole experience.

4.> Stereotypical "anons"
Here we go, this is possibly the most annoying person you'll ever meet. One of those ridiculously over-hyped all too common freaks that practically LIVE on /b/ or whatever. I don't give a squids fleeting thought towards them and their so-called society. Yeah they may be one of the biggest ever, but still, a society of incompetent morons isn't something to be proud of. Oh and the little slogan of 'We are Legion' really passes off as you're just a dork who wants to be in a supposedly tough crowd so you can feel like you belong. These people are like the stereotypical jock bullies you see in school. They're intolerant of pretty much everything, have no REAL friends, and are most likely dumb as a sack of hammers. These people can be summed up by saying, they're people who think they're better than everyone, when in reality they're low as dirt.

5.> Hackers, scammers, spammers, and virus-makers.
These people...need to die out. I know there's some instances where hacking is needed, such as retrieving information from a bricked computer, but other than that, hacking should be punishable by law, and corporal punishment. Some may argue this is why the internet needs to be overseen, and perhaps to access it, one would need to input their personal information into a database or have a computer profile or tracking system for IP addresses. One thing that would be really fun is to track one of these jerks down by some method of investigation, then finding their most likely obnoxiously expensive and powerful computer and beating the crud out of it with a mallet, golf stick, or other blunt object. I'd say itd be fun to chop their fingers off or something to, or have them killed, but honestly a computer is just a computer, not something worth injuring or killing someone over. There's so many problems with computers already, we don't need some jerk messing it up even further. In my opinion, these people need to be found and incarcerated for life. I have anger management issues, and if I ever caught someone who intentionally did this sort of thing, I'd probably do something I'd regret to them.

I have issues with Japan-only releases as far as TF toys go. There's a great many TFs that only get shown in Japan, but aren't made available over here because TFs just aren't popular enouhgto support it. But some TFs have far superior paint jobs in japan and that just annoys me to Hell. Why should Japan get the superior paint job?

US-only releases boggle my mind though.

The fade-in / creeping ads are pretty annoying. I also hate vokens (the full screen ads in the middle of yer page). Or ads that grow. Heaven help me ... I think I may be called upon to create such ungodly things one day.

People who use Japanese in english. As in the weeaboos who go. "That is so Kawaii!" "Are you okay (Name) Chan?"


A big one I have is talking to costuer service people on the phone. Either you can't understand a word they say or they don't know jackshit on your problem.

I agree on the chatspeak thing. I have one person on my AIM who speaks in chatspeak. Once in a while, they'll say "cum" instead of "come". Some stuff like "BRB" and "AFK" is okay for me. Total chatspeak is not.

Are you sure they weren't just talking about a female orgasm? I've never seen "come" spelled that way unless people were talking about bodily fluids...


But what's even worse than fade-in advertisements are the commercials that TV stations will superimpose into their actual TV shows. We spend enough time watching commercials during legitimate commercial breaks but that just isn't good enough for them, is it? The worst part is that they've been increasing in size gradually over the years. Superimposed commercials used to be a few seconds in length and take up a small little space at the bottom of the screen. Now, I'm seeing in-show commercials taking up nearly a whole damn quarter of the screen. That's absurd, and shame on the soulless marketers responsible.

I hate it when people continuously call us on the phone. For example, a bill collecter just called us, and as soon as the phone quit ringing, another bill collecter called. Why my mom can't pay the god damn bills is beyond me.

I also hate it when my sister has to use the fact that she's pregnant to get what she wants. I'm already annoyed because she's bringing a little bastard into the world, but come on. Not everyone gets what they want in the world.

My mom is very good at breaking promises. I can't tell you how many promises that she's broken when it comes to me.

And I absolutely can't stand people who bring up stuff from the past that just puts you in a bad mood for the rest of the day. Like manipulative girlfriends that bring up their boyfriends mistakes to get what they want *coughSISTERcough*.

Saying 'cum' instead of 'come' is a testimate to today's lazieness. Seriously, it's only one letter.

Same goes for people who go... "u", "r", "ur", "y/whi", "wat" and so on.


I don't mind someone liking Japan or anime, it gets annoying when people do start mixing Japanese with their english or admit that they are weeabos.

I don't mind someone liking a fandom, but obessing over it to the point it annoys everyone or fapping off to it is scary and annoying. I do like Megaman and all, but I am not obessed with it.

People at stores who stand infront of you when you are trying to look at something do get annoying, mainly when you have lazy parents who let their kids run right in front of you. The parents don't do anything, they think it's funny.

Speaking of stores, parents who make no effort to shut up their screaming kids. Nothing like having your eardrums shatter while you're trying to find something.

Purists who whine about any change made to their (insert fandom here), even if it won't affect the canon (i.e. third-party productions).

Getting yelled at.

Being unable to find legit Pokemon figures on eBay. (I'm talking about the 1 1/2 inch figurines that were sold up until the end of the Johto saga. Why'd the US stop getting them?)

I'll admit I'm a bit of a purist about my fandom sometimes, so here's some things that piss me off on that note.

So called gamers who label themselves as "Hardcore gamers". Someone on my MSN list brags that he is a hard core gamer. All he does is brag, sayinsg he is "slowly becoming a fanboy" and what not. Then drools all over gae screen caps and says "angst" is cool.

You know what I hate...? When my MSN decides to be a fickle glitchy piece of crap and decides to NOT work or open... Or when my AIM glitches and an endless amount of AIM windows pop out with no end until I exit AIM...
