I got Guild Wars for Christmas, but I've played it a lot longer than that. This will be my first game review ever.
Graphics: 9/10 The renderings are AWESOME. If you take a look at a waterfall, it will look like a waverfall should be. Also, all the landscapes are fully rendered, so you actually have blades of grass visible instead of a flat green plain. The lighting is good, you can definitely tell the lighting when you're in places like the Catacombs, where while some places are fully lit up, some are dark and only illuminated by the crystals hanging off the ceiling. The people look great too, and depending on what version you have, certain classes look better than others (Assassin chicks are quite hot tongue.gif ). The armors are quite detailed as well, and most look really cool.
Gameplay: 10/10 This has great gameplay. You roam the lands, fighting off sometimes MASSIVE groups of enemies. You equip up to 8 different skills/spells, and up to 4 different sets of weapons. You also get a secondary class, so there's massive amount of customization.
Story: 7/10 The story is kinda bland to me personally. Same old 'ofux these wild creatures pwnt the town, we gotta find a new home now.' Storyline. OF course, That's just all I know right now, so the story may pick up a bit the longer I play.
Requirements: 5/10 I made this category up. It's basically my opinion of the system/hardware reuirements. I only give this game a 5, because you have to be running a pretty damn good computer to get a good experience. (In other words, a LOT of us are freaked here. My old comp can't run it.)
Overall: 8/10 The only glaring issue is the requirements. If you have a pretty good computer, and lots of time to spare (depending on version, it's easier to level up in Factions and Nightfall), then it's definitely worth spending the money to play this game, especially since there's only the price of the game itself to factor in, no price to use the network.
BB's Rating: Excellent.
