Paul Posluszny was the star of the game, getting a red zone INT and a game-winning forced fumble
Bills Pull Off Improbably ComebackRide big plays and big turnovers to crazy winThe previous matchup between the Bills and Pats had come down to the wire, with Buffalo tying it late only to lose on an OT screen pass to Fred Taylor. This game, too, would be a barn-burner, but with a different outcome. Namely, me totally kicking ethan's duker horse.
The Patriots were undone early, when they continually failed to turn good drives into 7 points, going into halftime with a 9-0 lead.
The Bills came out of halftime with the ball, started off moving well for a few plays, until Lynch was decked in the open field, coughing up a fumble. One play later, Brady would connect on a crossing route to Watson, who outran all of Buffalo's slow, stupid, legally retarded defenders to the end zone. 16-0 New England.
The Bills came out the next possession, and Edwards tried to toss the ball over the corner who jammed the h e double hockey sticks out of Owens, corner leaps for a pick, nabs it. But, the Patriots, smelling blood, got a little excited. Brady threw a pick to McKelvin off play action that would be returned for a 70 yard TD, getting the Bills back in it 16-7.
Not to fear, because the very next possession Brady would hit Sammy Morris to beat the blitz on an arrow route, taking it in from 67 yards out against the same legally retarded Buffalo defenders.
Buffalo answered at the end of the third with a 28 yard TD pass to TE Fine, who made a leaping grab in the end zone. 23-13, two point conversion failed.
http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/13010391New England began the 4th absolutely gashing Buffalo on the ground, 41 yards from Taylor, 15 from Maroney. Honestly, even though it was a 10 point game the Bills were thinking it was basicallly over. But on 3rd and 7 from the Buffalo 15, Brady threw a pick attempting to force a pass to Taylor.
http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/13010406A few plays later, Edwards would beat the blitz on a throw I was sure was going to get picked, but ended up being a 73 yard TD reception to Roscoe Parrish.
http://www.easports.com/media/play/video/13010382With two minutes left, Buffalo tried, and succeeded, the onside kick. They would drive to the 30, where Lindell missed a FG that clanked off the uprights. Game over, 23-20, right?
Nope. New England took over and went to work on the ground. Taylor had what looked to be a decent gain, but as he headed off tackle Kawika Mitchell forced a fumble, recovered by Marcus Stroud and returned for 17 yards.
Buffalo kicked off, and on 2nd and 5 from the New England 26, got a huge break. Brady, seeing noone open downfield, decided to scramble. In my domination, of course I picked the perfect "Fumble-Causing-Play", Posluszny read it and delivered a huge hit on Brady. Mitchell recovered and returned fumble to the 2, where Edwards would kneel, and Lindell would finish the one-sided game off with a FG to win 26-23.
